I don't think we'll see more than 3 trades, but even that is stretching it... But I highly doubt we see both Letestu and Arty go. Who would play center then with Dubi out?

Leopold to Minny for a conditional 5th, and Atkinson somewhere for hopefully a 1st are my predictions.

sounds like we sent wennberg, dano, gibbons down (paper transactions) so they're eligible for AHL playoffs...

guess not "trade deadline related" but still part of today

So what holes are left in our roster? Subtract who's coming back from injury and you may have some trade clues.

AHL is having Clear Day on the same day that NHL teams can call up guys above the pre-deadline 23-man limit?

I see some Calder Cup games looking like ECHL games (only 16 skaters a side), assuming one team isn't so injury/call-up depleted that they have to forfeit.

Clear Day is a ridiculous idea for a developmental league, in my opinion.

Sorry for the derailment. Not much else to talk about at the moment, however.

The AHL changed from their Clear Day roster where teams submitted the players who would be eligible for the playoffs to a deadline where players had to be on the roster at a specific time (2pm today) or the player can't play in the AHL playoffs. So, it's essentially the same, only teams have to make paper-only moves. It used to be they could just submit the names without sending players down.

Too bad Murray and Jenner couldn't play in the AHL playoffs to get more time on the ice this season. They could get hurt, but Murray's development especially is going to be hindered with the lack of playing time.
