Lets say we play out the rest of the Lease in Nassau, and for the 15/16 season we head to Brooklyn....

On opening Night in Brooklyn what does this team look like?

Who's the Coach? Who's the owner? and Who's still with the club....

IMO Cappy is not the coach but Wang is still the owner and Garth is still the GM.

Tavares takes the first face off and Anders Nilsson is in goal....

We lose, someone else says our guys played HAHD and didn't get bounces and we can chalk up many of the empty seats to building design, not years of fan apathy.

11 - 0 isles win go on to beat the black hawks and flyers point streak records

My prediction is that in 2015 we will be saying what great team the islanders will have in 2017.
BEAT THE SENS!!

I don't think Brooklyn is going to fix the on ice product and they are still going to suck just as much as they do in Uniondale.

A free agent signing will be in net with Nilsson backing up.

Coach Weight with Snow/Wang running the show.

Garth's 'core' will still be intact. I could imagine Nino/Kabanov/Nelson up. As well as Donovan/Reinhart/Ness.

Pretty much exactly how I feel.. Strome will be on JT's wing frans will still be second line center cause they'll be misusing Nelson.

Moulson Tavares Neidereitter
Bailey Strome Nelson
Grabner Nielson Okposo/Kabanov
Martin Cizikas Ullstrom/Lee

Reinhart Hamonic
MacDonald DeHaan/Strait
Streit Hickey/Donovan

Nillson
Poulin

I'd like to think that the lineup will be significantly different. That russian guy I'm sure will not want to be associated with a losing team that plays in the same arena as his nets..

This looks about right...not 1 worthy FA added and a low salary. The only player that I might still see being here is Reasoner. Hopefully we lock him up to a 5/6 year deal real soon because this guy epitomizes this organization. :help:

All kidding aside i hope we land a high end RW to play with JT and a #2 Dman but odds are against that.

He will do as he does every year and draft the right players to fill in holes ten years from now as long as they are willing to work for peanuts. If one is actually a little good Wang will sign him to a ten billion year contract and do everything humanly possible to spoil him into thinking he can do no wrong.

I guess Petrov is still playing out his final year over in the KHL...right?

I highly doubt Petrov will ever come here, but I think the constant reassurances from his agent are made to not burn bridges.

Petrov will sign a three-year deal with the Isles at age 38 (complete with an inflated base salary and unattainable bonuses) so the Isles can make the cap floor as negotiated by his agent, Alexei Yashin, and our GM-for-life Rick "What Competition?" DiPietro. Petrov will then "retire" after one year, citing irreconcilable differences with the Isles coach (Charles Wang's fat grandson who attends all of the NHL drafts) but his cap hit will still remain for two seasons. Kevin Connolly, who heads up pro scouting for the Isles, is dumbfounded that the move did not work out. :sarcasm:

Weight is the coach. Wang is the owner. Garth is the GM.

Moulson-Tavares-Bailey
Grabner-Strome-Niederreiter
Nelson-Nielsen-Okposo
Martin-Cizikas-Ullstrom

Sundstrom and Persson are on the cusp of making the team, Lee leaves to free agency, Kabanov leaves for the KHL.

Reinhart-Hamonic
Mayfield-Donovan
MacDonald-Hickey
De Haan

AHL is stacked with future NHL talent: Pokka, Pedan, Kichton, and Pelech

Poulin
Nilsson

Goalie tandem that develops into one of the best in the league :D

Notice I made no free agent acquisitions because 1) Theyre impossibel to predict at this point and 2) we wont make any lol

JT, Moulson and Cheechoo (Snow kicks the tires}
Bailey Nielson and Nilsson {Wang likes the idea of having two goalies on the ice since we're giving up so much}
Nino Cizikas Okposo {KO will breakout and resemble a power forward one year, but not this one!}
Reasoner, Ullstom, Gillies {since Martin, Grabs and others left, we can't get the chipotle phones to work so no waiver action, just signings done out of the 1978 Gremlin mobile office Wang springs for}

We draft all tough left wingers that year.
