I'm not happy about that . Still hoping we pick a d-man.

My hope is we trade Hiller to SJ for their 2nd, and sign Ramo to an extension.

The only guy I can see really being worth it at 15 is Zboril. Meier can put the puck in the net and he's big, exactly what we need. Still like trading down the best, but something tells me the Flames will pick Boeser.

The second round is chock full of D. I feel like we package 52 and 53 to move up. Then we can get two very good players at 33ish and 45.

the fan 960 mock draft has us taking Meier, but they were hesitant to make that pick

The mock draft on the Fan960 is exactly how I don't want the draft to pan out and it likely could. I would definitely trade down if the opportunity came up.

Next move:

CGY -> OTT: 15th overall, 45th overall
OTT -> CGY: 18th overall, 21st overall

Senators get Konecny as they desperately want, we get two of Zboril, Merkley & Boeser. :yo:

E: Don't understand our interest in Talbot. It'd mean that Hiller gets traded.

Take out our 45th and put a third rounder instead but I wouldn't mind the deal if no one intriguing had fallen to 15th

Could see the Flames taking Boeser at 15, Button ranked him at 9 and he also said the Flames showed interest in him.

Barzal is an elite playmaking center, I find hes a little underrated atm for this draft.

If we got him, he'd be the perfect 2C behind Monahan... That, or he could be the RW while Bennett is center. Just depends on who is better at the position.

CBJ - Werenski
SJ - Connor
Colorado -Crouse (They're desperate for larger forwards)

Ummmm no. How about we go NHL 2005.

Drew Shore for Rich Peverley.

Rich Peverley for Antoine Roussell.

Antoine Roussell for Michael Frolik.

Michael Frolik for Brad Richards.

Brad Richards for Martin St. Louis.

Martin St. Louis for Alex Steen.

Alex Steen for Roman Josi.

Roman Josi for Brent Burns.

Brent Burns for Ryan Suter.

Ryan Suter for Drew Doughty.

Drew Doughty for Evgeni Malkin.

Evgeni Malkin for 3rd overall.

3rd overall + 2019 4th rounder for 2nd overall.

2nd overall + 2019 3rd rounder + 2019 2nd rounder for 1st overall.

Draft McDavid.

This is how I used to operate turned guys like Saprykin or Donavan into Malkin or Thorton
