2015 7-Round NHL Mock Draft 2.0

I got curious. so I did the math.
(Johnson, Johansen, Parise, Bob, 2 Staals, Bourque, Hartnell, Clarkson, Skinner, Murray)
11 players = 60.119 of cap room
9 other spots = 10.881 mil.

And Jenner, Murray, Connaughton, Savard, Prout, etc all looking for new contracts the year after...

Thats a tough lineup. You a bold GM, good sir. No idea how you're gonna upgrade D.

By giving up some contracts. Completely forgot about Bourque. But we are only worrying about this season. ;)

TRADE

:flames
Acquire RFA
Jimmy Hayes

:panthers
Acquire RFA
Kenny Agostino
6th Rd Draft pick.

GM Treliving "I gave a call to Tallon and asked how negotiations were coming along with Hayes, and he asked me what I would give for his rights. Something must have happened but we are happy to have a chance to sign him. The Calgary fans are going to love this big bodied RW."

We have a trade to announce

The San Jose Sharks receive:
2016 1st round pick
Blake Siebenaler
Joonas Korpisalo
Rene Bourque
2016 4th round pick

The Columbus Blue Jackets receive:
Justin Braun
Ben Smith

This trade aligns with the Sharks mindset of getting younger. Also, with Braun traded the Sharks will be looking to rebuild which means I'm taking offers on everyone but only for the right price. Thanks to the Columbus GM for their willingness to negotiate.

Confirm this deal also clears a little bit of space, while also upgrading my d. Looking to clear a little more by moving Hartnell and Clarkson.

Rights to Chris Stewart

:wild acquire

2015 7th round pick

Confirmed. We thank Chris Stewart for his short tenure. He helped us secure a playoff spot, but we weren't able to agree on a new number. We hope he sees this as an opportunity to play with a great contender in Pittsburgh and we wish him the best.
