This'll be my triumphant return to California hockey since game 7 against the Blackhawks. Hope I still got my fighting moves down.

"Let's Go Gulls" is the main one. And like with the parent club, no one can decide if Gulls has one or two syllables.

The Gulls look overmatched physically. The only like that gets sustained offensive zone pressure is Kase Noesen Wagner.

I just got harassed by their mascot, who appears to be an albino lion with mange. We informed him I was a vet who could neuter him and he grabbed his privates and scurried off. Grand fun.

That's hilarious. Hopefully a strong PK to open the 3rd period will give the Gulls' some momentum.

Not a great game by the Gulls. Reign forced them to the outside and won most of the puck battles, board play, foot races, you name it. Oh, and the game.

Gonna need a better effort in Game 2. And a healthy Sgarbossa, Kerdiles, Dobby would be a fabulous boost if the hockey gods would be so kind.
