What are your thoughts on potential roster

That we won't see many NHLers, 7-8 at most, but first round losers will be available which boosts the chances of getting impact players, which is what they want.

On defense they'll invite OEL and Karlsson, who probably won't come, but you can always hope for one. Larsson and Klingberg will only come if they sign extentions between now and the end of the season, i.e. not likely. Brodin is the most likely to get invited and come of the five, but he might make the playoffs. Beyond that, wait for first round exits.

Not really sure what to get up front, all the best guys are heading to the playoffs. Best available guys at first glance will probably be Backlund, Landeskog and Zibanejad. Flames have a road heavy schedule to finish and really good teams chasing them. I think Landy will pass as the captain of a team that misses(in all likelihood) the playoffs despite big expectations. Zibanejad should come.

Basically, I only expect second tier players or better. Backlund, Söderberg and Ekholm type of players yes. Rask, Klefbom and Lander no. E.Lindholm is a 50/50 invite.

From what I can gather, this team is in real need of some late additions on the forward side. No clear cut captain we can count on here, either.

Omong the positives is the depth in goaltending. Don't think we've ever had this large of a talent pool. Similarly, D seems to be the least of our worries. Hoping we can put together a lethal PP-unit. That and great goaltending could get a team far in a tourney of this format.

If Landeskog goes he is most likely the captain. Otherwise I would say it's most likely Ericsson

Last year Karlsson was probably overwhelmed by the end of the season. Chances are much better this year than lasts that he'd go.

Landeskog has done a good job in Colorado but captaining the national team is something different entirely. He doesn't have much experience and I'm hoping for a better option. Maybe I'm selling him short? He'll probably have a lot of ice time, as it is, and that's positive if he is to captain Tre Kronor. I could see EK as captain, though. But same issues there.

If Sharks misses the playoffs, Melker Karlsson should be on the team.

Tim Erixon might steal a spot....

Joakim Lindström traded to Toronto.

He was good in last WCH.

Chemistry with Melker, Möller, Jimme Ericsson.

Mabye MÃ¥rts should give him a spot.

And William Karlsson to Jackets.

If he plays very good for the Jackets, he might get an invite by MÃ¥rts, just like last year.

Another interesting player is Patrik Nemeth, very good when he has played for the Stars.

What are Adam Larsson chances of making the club? 15 points in 25 games in 2015 while being a stud defensively

He's a lock if he wants to come. His stats are too good to overlook. Even if I think MÃ¥rts makes a lot of questionable decisions, this is a WC squad and he has the chance to pick an NHL defenseman that plays 24 minutes a game with good stats, it's a no brainer.

Joakim Lindström plays in 4th line if Landeskog is injured or never wills play this year tournament. Or Avs general stab wills not new star player never play this year World Championship. They will have lucky next season in Colorado Avalanche with one Landeskog in topp form I say now.

Linus Omark - Jimmie Ericsson - Joakim Lindström
??? - Dick Axelsson - Oscar Möller
Simon Hjalmarsson - Mattias Sjögren - Fredrik Pettersson
??? - Vikctor Rask - Linus Klasen

Or this Sweden A-Team. Only offensive formation.

So is it likely that Elias Lindholm gets an invite? I imagine he'd go, I remember him being asked about playing in the WC during exit interviews last season and he seemed like he had hoped to get an invite, but didn't.

Omark is top 10 forward of KHL i think he should be in team if not all stars like Sedins and Zeta/Bäcks etc come

Maybe Danielsson should have a spot after all, great season and was good against Finland.
