yeah you never know it just seems that Slovakia dose not have the power they did the last couple of years and it looks like also the coaching staff did a poor job on the roster this year.
 
Edmonton is so selfish by not letting Draisaitl play in the world juniors. I would understand if they were playing well and fighting for a playoff spot, but he is currently in a very negative situation and this could only help his development and confidence.

He's a healthy scratch tomorrow. Don't get why they didn't just release him.

Neither do I. He has always stated in the past that he's always looking forward to play for Germany at any level.

But I had heard of this rumor that Leon and other players past and present had asked their respective teams to claim that they didn't allow them to play for their national teams just to avoid trouble with their federations.
I think it was started by Elliotte Friedman.

Of course he would rather be in the NHL - can't think of many that would not want to be there.

What matters though is what is best for his development. Being the main man for Germany, playing 20 minutes + a night in all situations against the top players in his age group would be good for his development rather than press/box , spot duty for the worst team in hockey.

Unless I am very much mistaken the unfortunate answer is none.

I don't think the World Juniors have ever been on TV in Germany.

Yes,i know thats germany is only country with swiss without the tv interesting on this tournament past years.Incredible. Also nothing change it this year??

You are right, I forgot about that. I think the last tournament they showed was 2011 or something, at least I think I watched the gold medal game that year, and it was the first year that I could view Eurosport 2. Maybe they still had it 2012, but I am not sure, and this year it doesn't look like any channel neither Free-TV nor Pay-TV is broadcasting the tournament.
Which is too bad.

So far Pfohl is looking really good tonight, he should be moved up the depth chart. Eisenschmid and Tuomie are playing fairly well, too, Kahun has shown some flashes of good play but not consistently, yet.

I've always liked Pfohl in the past years and I got to see him play a lot.

I think the Oilers' front office does not deserve either of these prospects, but their fans deserve to get a real franchise player.
