Our defensive prospect pool is a little shallow now that Jones & Ekholm have graduated. Poile will draft some defensemen, but it better not be in the first round.

Man, if Anaheim came away from the draft with McCann and Ritchie, that'd be an awesome draft for them. Two guys who would be great 2nd liners behind Perry/Getzlaf (in my opinion) giving them depth as well as star talent. No way McCann drops all the way to 26 though.

for nashville, i agreed with you, their D prospect is thin with the graduation on seth jones, ellis, rosi and all their D in NHL...i'm sure they will select a foward anyway they need young offensive foward to support their good Dman, they can draft D prospect in later rounds, 11 overall, they draft a foward pretty sure!

for boston, I think hf mock draft made a good choice....rask is solide now, but earn big money, in 4-5 years they will maybe need a young goalie, they have malcom Subban, he is a good prospect but I would not bet all my money on him in vegas, if they draft Demko, they got a Boston college star goalie, tall goalie high rated prospect...having 2 good prospect is not a bad thing, specialy with the guess around goalies...Boston need also scoring foward, but at 25, is there any foward with potential impact higher than Demko?

I'm disappointed, too, with the selection of Schmaltz. Tunnel vision on the prospects may point to a centre -- unlikely as it is with the top prospect being one -- but the undisputed position of strength with the big club is young centres.

I'm looking for the Flyers to grab a high-scoring winger.

Not familiar with how Burke specifically speaks leading up to drafts, and Treliving is a new GM, but with many GM's that is no reason to think they won't be looking to take a kid, quite the contrary in some cases.

I find the write up for the Oilers kind of silly. Draisaitl is unproven, yet put up more points than Bennett and had success against NHL opponents at the World Championship. Yet Bennett is proven.

I pick Bennett to be the bust of the top 10. No way Edmonton passes on Draisaitl for Bennett.

The lack of MDC talk could be a smokescreen honestly. Just like MacT and Nurse last year.

HF at it's finest. Thanks for the laugh, can't wait until the next version of the system rankings come out. As a Leaf fan getting Ehlers at 8 would be awesome but Kapanen at #6?? Really? and you just go down the list and it's head scratcher after head scratcher..Ohh well

How the hell does Ritchie make it to #10? lol ohh man And Boston picking another goalie when there are other forwards left on the board is a head scratcher. I don't care if you think they're going to move Subban, drafting another goalie in the first round is just terrible value.

Not a great comment, given that this isn't a ranking. Mock drafts and rankings are quite different things.

Well knowing their past mock drafts I'd take this one with a grain of salt. Even though I do with any type of mock draft, but even moreso with this one lol.
