I got an email from the Kings telling me to be on the lookout for another email.

I'm still waiting.

Next Tuesday and October 2nd.

Pure genius to have one of the days the Thursday before Frozen Fury, a event many season seat holders attend. I'm in Vegas that Thursday morning so I'm forced to go next Tuesday at a time that is going to be tough to make.

I actually started a thread on this independently but no one responded.

The two dates are awful. Next Tuesday guarantees the names aren't stamped. They will be stamped on October 2 but for personal reasons another bad day. I will probably go on the 2nd. All the evening slots are already "sold out."

King and Nolan kept their "training camp" numbers. I think Pearson and Toffoli will stick with the numbers they wore when they lifted the Cup. Plus it's unique to them since we can't think of many Kings of the past who donned those numbers.

At this rate, all of the numbers in the 70's won't be available to training camp players or call-ups . Kings must have the most roster players with numbers in the 70's, right?

Only other team I can think of with so many players with high numbers is Montreal, and that's mainly due to them having so many retired numbers.

You don't really have time to examine the Cup too much anyway. Last time we pretty much walked up, posed for 1-2 quick pics by the official photog and moved on. They have to shuffle a lot of people through there so they have to keep the line moving.

I know, I felt rushed the first time. I won't be rushed this time. I am going to search for and find both sets of stamped names. They will have to get security to escort me out.

Seems like they don't want to spend a dime on production and want to make an insane killing by gouging ticket prices (and I'm sure we'll also see a price increase in concessions as well).

Think your looking at it backwards. The fact that the don't have any of those items tells me the first go around didn't sell as well as you/they thought they would/did. Let alone for the second time in 3 years

To be fair, the first go around suffered from the lock out the following season that led to some problems in getting better merchandise out there.

This go around makes no sense unless they're waiting to drop it on fans when the season opens.

The book / DVD combo sold out quickly, and they openly regretted they didn't produce enough of those. Not sure about the SC moments DVD but much of that content was available for free on YouTube. If this year they are going straight to DVD, that will help sales.
