2014 HFTML FANTASY DRAFT Discussion Thread (DRAFT STARTED YESTERDAY ;) )

what the ****?!?! we skip all kinds of ****ing picks before but we're stopping now?

what kind of ****ing mickey mouse operation have we got going here?

and just when did we elect a governing council? Just wondering because I forgot to vote. But there must have been an election because there seems to be a handful of gm's making decisions for the whole league.

i hear ya... i was skipped and lost out on my guy... but now we're waiting... why and for what idk since the long weekend is over.

pretty weak.
 
Yeah and? Almost everyone has been skipped and lost out on their guy.

Boy if you had just made a damn list like we were suggesting, maybe that wouldve been avoided. But then doesnt your drafting style consist of changing picks a bunch of times before you actually pick? So shouldnt you have several guys for each pick?

If youre gonna complain at least make your argument a little m9re airtight. Sheesh. It's not like anyone missed out on sidney crosby.

I love the irony in your username... don't bother replying to me as I have zero to say to you.

We had a vote and over 40% voted to pause the draft... yet we kept the draft going...

poorly organized to say the least.

So minority should have the say over majority? 60% > 40%
 
it was 45-55... much closer then anyone had expected...

but for the sake of making things fair, it should have been paused so that no one of the 45% would be skipped... now there are complaints that people were skipped, there are complaints that things are unorganized lol.

had we just paused it... there would have been zero confusion and zero disgruntled gm's.

There's no irony. I'm right and you know it, you just can't admit when you're wrong. Also you pointing out that the majority wanted to not pause the draft isn't helping you at all.

Then we decide to let the rest of you catch up and get the whole thing reorganized by pausing it until tonight or tomorrow and you get upset? Like i said, it's not like you're missing out on primo players. You should be filling out your roster with depth now. If you're still scrambling for a top dman or top 6 player, that's not our fault.

Seriously, no one's making you participate.

you aren't right... and that's the bottom line. had it not been so close to half of the gm's voting for pause the draft then I would have agree with you... but it was. from what I remember it was 43% who voted to pause it... nearly half... at which point we should have just done the right thing and paused it. The past 2 rounds had some steals... these rounds are quite important... depth isn't just about throwing crap players on your team, otherwise by all means you should just take the left overs at the end of the draft if that's your opinion... but i somehow doubt you think that lowly of depth players.

secondly, I'm not scrambling for anything... i'm quite happy with my team... I'm trying to maintain this draft be fair for everyone and that includes the Gm's that were away for the weekend and got skipped knowingly after nearly half of the league voted to pause. That's the issue.
 
Almost half the league isn't half. If you are talking about fair, then how does less than half equal it? Regardless, it only ran for one extra day and how many picks were actually made? Even with all the whining there's hardly anyone here making picks now, so where's the "almost half" of those GM's who should be?
 
Honestly I don't care, do what you want guys. I'll just keep checking in to see when we finally opening picking again, if we ever at this point.

so if your drafting style is to change your mind a bunch of times before making the pick, then you should be good to go, correct? Because one of the guys you wanted is still going to be available?

What you're basically arguing is the same, in essence, as trying to tell me that the colour blue is actually yellow. 43% isn't the majority, but you didn't and aren't getting your way so everyone else is in the wrong.
 
but this is all moot at this point..

Dave paused it - and said everyone before pick #372 draft. If by Tuesday at 8:00am no one has drafted #373 and beyond can draft. it shouldn't be this complicated.
 
Funny some people wanted to change their votes. That would probably mean that the majority would of been for pausing the draft if that was a fact. But of coarse you can't switch when you have voted ;)

This thing is officially a joke.

Our commish is Missing in action.

The draft board is so out of date its not even useful.

People are deciding when to pick even tho this should be paused.

Too many people have missed picks, we have some unmanned teams that should have autopicked days ago.

So many issues that really gives me no satisfaction if I were to see this thing actually judged.


I for one am not wasting anymore time.

Im sure some will follow.
