I'm sorry but what happened when other people were away and they picked on their phones. We haven't paused other times and we're not now.
 
I'm gonna be around. But i wouldn't mind a pause for those who are going away. It would be unfair if the teams that are going away to suffer because of a long weekend trip that they could have planned from time or certain events taking place, such as marriages. Besides some work on the weekends too and from what i know our commissioner is working from thursday-tuesday so he will barely be around to update this thing. So i say yes to a pause
 
There are about 10 GM's gone this weekend (and that is just what I know of)

We can't pause the draft for 1 person, but 1/3-1/2 of the league? We should. It doesn't hurt anybody and makes it fair.

If not, than might as well look for a new CGY too, because I will have no interest in returning having to make 5-6 picks from a pile of leftovers. This was supposed to be about who can draft the best team, not who didn't go away for the Long Weekend.

So VOR, how am I supposed to magically know who will be available 3 rounds from now?

What if all the players on my list are gone?
 
I mean maybe, but all you are doing is personally attacking me, so clearly you have no good reason not to pause the draft 1/3+ of the league on a long weekend.

I'm with you bud...

they say.. "find an agm"... I don't talk to people on this site...
they say... "make a list"... drafts are organic... picking changes depending on how things go... trends, availability, needs.

those aren't options...

neither is making up 5 or 6 picks and filling up my roster with garbage players. I won't have internet at the cottage. Put it to a vote. Keep the personal attacks out of it.
 
Other GM's have been away and made picks on their phones just saying. Why don't you set it up so you get an email when you are PMed and set up the email on your phone.
 
I don't get reception at the cottage lol. at all. i'm in the forest. otherwise I would... and i HATE using lists... never used them and never will... because I change my mind a million times up until the last second that I make my pick.

Things change up until the pick is made... all depends on the picks leading up... how things shape up...
 
Bring your phone, get another GMs number, and text them who to pick. They'll let you know if they've been taken

Because the three days you add by delaying it are less likely to have a significant % of people missing their turns. The days are essentially ‘less valuable’ for the majority.

Again, I don’t care. I’m here this weekend. I just think it’s reasonable.
 
Just put it on hold. Adding 3 days to the draft really shouldn't be that big a deal, and while I'm not going anywhere this weekend, it'll be kinda nice to have a few days where I'm not spending time at work or with friends checking on the draft.
