Keep an eye on Clapperton ... not a threat to make the roster anytime soon, but he's a lot faster than I thought and doesn't mind throwing the body. He could def. make it someday.

I think we're a lot more even with the Preds' prospects in terms of experience this year. They have great defensive prospects. Bitetto and Aronson both are coming out of the AHL. Seth Jones; ya we know. Roussel is talented, played with Huberdeau in Saint John. Also, Hellberg, 6'6'' with AHL experience, is in a lot better shape than Houser as far development goes. Hopefully, Barkov is healthy enough to participate, because I think our group of forwards is better this time around. We might not get enough saves from Houser and our defense looks a bit shaky since we only have Petrovic and Racine with AHL experience back there. IMO, we should not get blanked like we did in 2011. We should expect to see some goals from our boys. Should be a good tourney.

if barkov is ready for contact, and they let him play, i have:

Delnov-Barkov-McFarland
Howden-Bjugstad-Trocheck (want this line together in SA so id love to get a glimpse at it)
Gomes-Beauvillier-Shaw
Clapperton-Megan-Turgeon

Petrovic-Racine
McFadden-Weegar
Lee-Brown

Houser
Madore

not like the lines matter too much, everyone will get some time in this tournament, cant wait to see them in action tho. always love these rookie games, hated that we didnt have them this last season because of the lockout.

Good point about Howden-Bjugstad-Trocheck. I think Trocheck could be more effective on the boards. However, he won't have the puck as much, so he won't be controlling the play like he did in the OHL. I know the lines don't matter, but it's just something to talk about besides posting "THIS BOARD IS DEAD" threads.

By the looks of it... We're gonna see a few high scoring games.

I hope you're right. I was pretty dumbfounded after seeing us get beaten 10-1 in the those 2 exhibition games in 2011. We have more talent, guys are older and more experienced. We should see different results this time.

I'd think putting a veteran RW, like Rallo, with Howden and Bjugstad would be more beneficial to their development. Likewise, letting Trocheck play with Matsumoto and another experienced player (Shore if he doesn't make FLA) would really help his move to wing (if he does move).

I am heading out with a good friend of mine. Took the day off so I am plannign to head out early. Seriously can't wait.

No Huberdeau or Barkov at the rookie camp per Tallon via George Richards.

Huberdeau "doesn't need it" and Barkov will be ready for main camp.

Edit:Just noticed Huberdeau was never on rookie camp roster so not sure what the context of that quote was.

well huberdeau joined the guys at the development camp, so i think he was just clarifying that hes not gonna be playing in this camp.

Didn't he mention on Twitter that DT is holding Barkov out of the tournament for precautionary reasons, otherwise he's cleared to play and 100% healthy?

Not letting a prospect play at a prospect tournament for precautionary reasons? I have a hard time believing he's 100% healthy then, why else wouldn't they wan't to see how he does? And why those other 100% healthy prospects aren't being hold out for precautionary reasons? :naughty:

Dont worry he will play in NHL instead of rookie tournament and fight for calder. Even tho they arent coming out straight theres no need for barkov to participate in this tournament his beyond the level and focusin on nr1 center for florida.

Because those other 100% healthy prospects aren't penciled in to play on the top line already.
