I think Isles vs Caps will be a fun series, so I hope it sticks. I think the Bruins better hope that the Sens win some games and the Rangers lose because I think the Rangers and Bruins would be a death match. Much like the Caps were for the Bruins last season. If they can't score, they are going to get into these types of games with Lundqvist on the other side.

Yeah Boston just got blown out 5-2 by the Flyers with Steve frickin Mason in net. The same team we shutout last week.

I could almost see Ottawa losing out in a end of season choke job.

Sharks need to beat Dallas tonight, or an OT loss would get them in. Dallas has been a BAD matchup for them this year.

A small miracle has to happen for Rangers not to make it. But that Rangers team is going nowhere in the playoffs.

They had a cushion (that got larger during the game as the Jets lost) and were flat. But everyone that said 'why are you rooting for wins?' in the draft thread and elsewhere when we were still mathmatically alive can **** it, if we had ever won Sunday we'd be two back with two games left instead of six.

lol so meaningful

you can't lose 16/48 games in 2 consecutive spans and still be spry. I would say hold on to your imaginative hope, but its gone at this point.

Yes actually. 22 ROW to the Rags 20. Same situation applies to them and Ottawa if Ottawa were to lose out.

If I'm the Rags I'd try and end this Thursday...letting things get to Saturday is very dangerous.

Semin will come to play, but are the Staal bros going to even try that game?

Oh I am seeing it and it is annoying me to know end. Odds are they still beat the Canes Thursday, but still Sunday's no show hurts a bit more tonight. Then again that 10 game losing streak hurts even more.

Oh boy if Carolina wins in regulation Thursday then Saturday is gonna be rather interesting. If it comes to that then I'd like to think we'll show up like its Game 7 of the finals but then I remember what happened 2 years ago and I'm not too confident.

Jets need to still get a point Thursday. They can totally choke this away all by themselves.

NBC is hoping to have Saturday a must win for the Rags (and so am I)

Oh after how smug their fanbase has gotten since Sunday, nothing would make me happier this week then to drag them out of the top 8 with us. I've never wanted that rotten franchise called the former whalers to win a game more.

A lot has to happen for that to even have a chance. I wish cam ward was playing Thursday.

It's a lot to me to expect canes to win. Their goaltending is bad.

Their is usually nowhere to be found. I think they've started scoring a few the last few games. I remember one stretch where they scored 4 goals on 180 shots or something.:amazed: Puts us to shame.

I'm strangely ambivalent about the Rangers missing the playoffs at this point, probably because if they are ever in position to miss, that would mean we could have been within a game or two of making it and that'd gnaw at me even more.
