aaand the no goal call comes back to bite them.

It sucks but that was the right call. Ref looses sight of the puck, ref blows the whistle. It wouldn't have mattered except for the fact that this series has been marked by crazy momentum swings so far.

On the CBC video feed, the puck was clearly in the net.

From where the ref was standing the puck wasn't clearly anywhere, and he was in position. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is. Hopefully the Hawks bounce back and take the next three games.

What is the point of video review?

I think there should be a challenge-system where a coach gets to have one-challenge either per game or per period.

If he wins the challenge, he keeps his timeout. If he loses, he loses the timeout.

I think if Quenville(sp?) had that, and saw the replay that the Refs apparently did not, he would've thrown the flag.

hell even without the challenge system they reviewed the play and came up with some bogus call to preserve the ref's whistle.

If the ref was in the best position he could be in and still got it wrong, why is there a problem to go to video and make the correct call from that? Why is the video even there if not to correct missed calls let alone Game 2 of the Finals.

3:00 mark. Hosea didn't get anywhere near his pads to push it over the line. Ref was full of it and blew it so he makes up a reason which cannot be overruled by replay.

I agree 1000% on this.

However, the Hawks had the rest of the 1st period and the first half of the 2nd period to increase their lead but didn't.

It sucks that a Ref's blown call turned out to basically enable the Broons to eventually tie it up and get it to OT but we can't say that Chicago didn't have their opportunities to go up 2-0 later on before the Bruins tied it up.

Krueger and Bollig are the weak links.
Bruins taking this series.

Kruger is part of best PK duo on Hawks (With Frolik) ,, He has his role

Bollig has no talent but he tries and Q took gamble and the Hawks went 1-1 with Bollig so far

A player like Bollig shouldn't even sniff ice time during a Stanley Cup final. Stålberg should see ice time before him, even Mayers and Carcillo.

Stalberg is such a terrible player and his effort defensively got him this 2nd benching

Q will tolerate a player who isn't performing offensively who works his butt off defensively or tries

Stalberg is simply putting no effort in defensively and in offensive end it has been turnovers and being noshow most nights for him

Stalberg when not scoring or a threat to score is 100% worthless

No goal thing sucks and Hawks got screwed

But at end of day B's outplayed Hawks and right team won ,,, 1-1 heading to Boston doesn't fill me with confidance but on other hand the Hawks haven't really played that great of hockey so far

If Hawks can clean up some of there sloppy play they should be able to get split at least

Which is why I think replays should overrule the stupid whistle. The point of replays is to help the refs get the call right when they don't. No one is saying the ref should have x-ray vision, but the inability to have the replay bail him out now marks him as an assclown in the Finals that blew the call and screwed a team.
