The Bruins can't be too happy. Blowing two different 2 goal leads here.

You knew it would be something fluky like a deflection like that, and nothing really skill by the time it ended this late.

Did Shaw just say ****in?

It shouldn't have even gone to OT if they don't crap the bed in the last 10 minutes of the 3rd. You can't blow a 2 goal lead like that. Daugavins is beyond {Mod Edit} for trying to do whatever the hell that was.

He should have tried to turn his stick blade over like in that shootout before Ottawa waived him.

don't understand what made him think that was a better idea than just ripping it in with his backhand and taking his chances that it wouldn't hit crawford's stick

Any player with a semblance of a brain just deflects that right into the net. Why he stopped it and then tried to go backhand is some real bizarre ****. If I'm a Bruins fan I'm not sleeping tonight.

I had a feeling someone like Shaw or Saad was ending that. This really does feels like 2010 all over again when pretty much everything goes the Hawks way. Team of destiny. Also, Crawford is VERY underrated.

I've seen Crawford make a lot of these really awesome glove saves that he has no business making. Really like his glove hand.

I've been telling people this for years and it was tough to do with a straight face after that series against Phoenix last year. It's pretty funny watching him carry them at times this playoff season.

Yea that's what I'm thinking especially for Boston. Barfing away a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period on the road is pretty disheartening. I have a feeling Chicago is winning this. One of the younger guys like Saad, Frolik, Shaw, is gonna end it on some fluky goal.

Good call.

Ed O is a terrible color man

How he gets on national tv is a mind ****

he has zero personality. zero and doesn't really provide any insight.

I totally agree. He almost seems bored and doesn't add much excitement or really anything else. He also says a few things that REALLY annoy me. When he's explaining the replay he always says "right THERE" for something so obvious, like we can't see it for ourselves you moron. I really wish it was somebody else. I vote for Darren Pang.

Yeah it's been awesome. I'm not sure why people don't really take him seriously. He's been very good all year. He plays the position in a very ugly manner I must say though, not elegant at all.

I would love Pang to do color commentary with Doc. How about Pierre also GTFO of there too. Even though he was alright tonight. Pang also was a goalie, and has some Chico in him at times too!

Engblom would be an upgrade to Pierre. Doc, Panger, Engblom. Sounds a lot better than Doc with Barfo, and no hair Pierre.

Speaking of commentary crew, another guy I don't like is Kevin Weekes. He's more of an analyst, but sometimes I prefer Milbury to him which is probably pretty bad.:amazed: I actually was hoping for some JR and Jonesy on the post game, but got Kathryn, that one idiot, Doug Weight, Panger, and Weekes. Weight wasn't so bad, and I like Pang. I would prefer Melrose over Weekes. I really don't like Kevin Weekes as an analyst. He seems like a real phoney, and a ''Better than you'' attitude.

Honestly I would love to start hearing some of the old ESPN guys. Steve Levy, Melrose was cool with John Saunders, non Flyers/Comcast Bill Clement, and Gary Thorne.

Haha you don't like Weekes, he seems like he's just trying to have a good time. Melrose has gotten dumber since his days of NHL2Nite. OMG those were the days. Pang is the best. Pierre is annoying but I just never listen to what he has to say anymore.

Melrose was cool back in the 90s-00s when ESPN actually covered the NHL. He kinda sucks now though.

Levy and Pang were a good duo when they called games on ESPN.

Pierre and Doc by themselves are ok, but ad Ed in the mix and it's just awful.

I love the people *****ing about Doc. At least he adds excitement to the game. Ed sounds like he's broadcasting at a funeral. Cannot stand him!

Sucked as a player, sucked as a coach, and sucks as a commentator.

He adds nothing insightful. I can deal with bland, like Engblom. But he knows the game. He provides good commentary about what is going on.

Ed just plain sucks. I think he brings the broadcast down. He's not fun. Emrick has always worked with fun people: McNabb, Davidson, Chico. Ugh....I should stop now.

Jack Edwards use to be on ESPN too. He could have easily gotten a job nationally, but he's too homer now. I hated Levy. He was always rooting against the Devils. I remember in 2000, he was such a Flyers cheerleader....

I'm hoping Barfo Edzo gets a coaching job somewhere. I wish he would get a coaching job somewhere so we don't have to hear him anymore. He obviously won't get a head coaching job anywhere after his brief stint with the Penguins, but some kind of coaching job.

I used to think Pierre was okay without Barfo, but this year he was intolerable with all the Rangers cheerleading, and Pens cheerleading too. Him interviewing Rask on the bench in the game 2 ECF post game after the Bruins went up 2 games to 0 on the road was hilarious. He looked like he was having a tough time interviewing Tuukka after his Penguins being crushed.

They did the commentary for the NHLFaceoff 99 video game lol. Wish Doc would have been the voice of more modern games, but they had the monotone Jim Hughson do a lot of the NHL games after that, then Thorne/Clement which isn't terrible other than the usual mispronounciations from Gary.

People underrate Crawford because he makes a lot of his best work look routine. So while it's easy to remember the soft goals he gives up, it's not as easy to think of all the great saves he makes. It's pretty much the availability heuristic in action but it's not fair to him and right now the man they call crow is making a lot of people eat crow. Us Devils fans can tell you a thing or two about a certain future first ballot HOFer with a tendency to give up the occasional cheesy goal.

Edit: auto correct. If this were Twitter, this post would be a twoop.

Nah Levy was/is good people when it came to calling games for the Devils (and that isn't based on just those clips below, he was always showed equal enthusiasm for both sides)

Calling the game he was good, but during stoppages I remember feeling like he didn't like the Devils.

I don't know. I was young. I'd take him over Cangialosi now. Cangy was better last season, he regressed this year for whatever reason.

I seem to remember Levy being more anti Devils homerish in 04 against the Flyers.

I think he got tired of us after being in the finals 3 of 4 seasons prior, and was happy to see us get crushed in 5 games by the Flyers.
