After they had already anointed Schneider as the #1, everyone including Luongo knows the only reason he wasn't dealt is his absurd contract.

The Devils were in the 2012 finals (beating the Rangers along the way) and have a ton of top defensive prospects in the system. Schneider won't be playing in a shooting gallery.
I agree he hasn't played a ton of games per season, but he won't be asked to right away either. But there is no denying he has been great over his last 80 nhl starts...and that's a big enough sample for me, even if it's spread out over 3 years.

The Devils road a lucky hot streak. I think the year before that and this past year are more accurate pictures of what the Devils team actually is. It's simply not that good of a team particularly without Parise.
How many games is he going to play? You have to believe if he doesn't get 55+ games per year he walks. So I assume he's going to play at least 55 games for you guys next year. You can't possibly justify starting Brodeur more than 25 games.

Doesn't sound like it since Gillis said he hasn't reached out to him yet, which means he understands the situation and that Luongo is probably not ecstatic. Yes he can change his perspective, and maybe he isn't upset, but for the last several months that's the indication he has given everyone.
Who cares really, and I'll agree to disagree with you on this one.
