Oh lord, I almost forgot about that one. Thankfully that game was one of the ones I was NOT at.

And Flacco was ripping on the Super Bowl being in Jersey. At least the power should stay on at The Met. (Ya I know that has nothing to do with anything, his comment just bugged me lol)

Could be worse for the viewer. It could of been Fox's game and we would be stuck with Joe Buck blabbering for even longer. Then people would REALLY tune out.

Oh I agree.

My point is CBS isn't making extra money off this though. Super Bowl ads are paid for months in advance

CBS gets 3.8M for every 30 seconds of extra commercials during this blackout

CBS loves this ,, Also lots of people tuning back in to see what is going on

There are no extra commercials. They aren't just calling up Doritos asking them for another 4 million to re-air a commercial.

I know everyone here isn't a business major but Christ.

They have blocks of commercials that are paid on contingancy basis to be used in event of longer then expect game (Like OT)

Those commercials are being used ,, They are paid for at SB price only if used during SB

When was the last commercial break, 20 minutes ago?

They have probably 5 or 6 blocks for each quarter and they aren't using them right now. It's just report after report. CBS IS NOT MAKING ANY EXTRA MONEY OFF THIS
