take in account change of team / play style and in boston he was playing on line with someone else pretty much each game

They'll probably have to find a way to sneak the vundertvins to Albany. Someone mentioned a way that would keep them from being claimed, anyone know how?

Vague minor injury and a perpetual rehab stint in the AHL? No idea.

No one can deny that Jagr still has something to offer. He can still score in this league and he'd be an awesome asset on the PP. But Brunner still has room to grow and could potentially be an answer further down the road than just this season. If given the choice between the two I'd go with Brunner.

You don't have to convince me, I want him here.

:) just pointing out he could do even better
well he was on PPG pace till half of season with flyers where he got injured and on 1,7 ppg pace in czech league and some ppl dare to say he should just retire already :help:

btw i just read czech national coach would welcome Jagr for olympic games, it all depends on Jagr himself if he will want to

Honestly, I'm not taking the stats from last season into consideration for any player, good or bad. It was a half season with some really whacky results.

true, but I dont think it really lends anything to the argument that Jagr is a spent force

My only qualm with Jagr, is we'd be making our squad even slower, which I initially didn't think was possible. Granted, he'd played quite a number of games towards the end of the playoffs, but he was skating with boulders chained to his ankles by the SCF. Not that Brunner is a speedster, but our transition game was just so awful last season and we've only been trending backwards adding players like Ryder and Clowe.

If Lou is thinking that Boucher will be ready in 1 years time, and Jagr will just be a stop-gap then I'll be fine with him signing here. But I still would rather sign Brunner to a 2 year deal.

Jagr isn't done, but I don't know how well he would hold up over a full season. We'd need him to be good for the playoffs. Maybe he could split a spot with a kid so it keeps him fresher. But I think he is looking for a regular role in the top 6.

I think I heard he played more games than anyone last season when you include his games overseas. I think he'll be fine and him breaking down deep in the playoffs is a problem I'd like to have haha

well he did play in the lockout. ok, ok the europe league isnt as physical or whatever, but its not SO much less physical that it bothers me. if he had sat out completely id be skeptical. I dont know. Im trying to be positive haha.

I also don't believe that anyone has a problem with his regular season play. It's playing 82 games and seeing him down the stretch and postseason.
