Gomez won't be booed when he comes back if the Devils do bring him back. Gomez was almost a carbon copy of the Holik situation, and he was booed for years while with the Rangers, and still with the Thrashers. His first game back in 08 he wasn't booed. Just as much time almost has passed now since Holik leaving and coming back.

I think it was started as a trade proposal by a St Louis fan. When someone made a proposal asking what their teams would give for Tallinder on the trade board.

No rumors, didn't indicate there were. It's just a trade that Blues and Devils fans around here believe to be a great trade for both clubs.
Keeps coming up in trade proposals, so I'd like to see it happen.

You might be right, I just feel like times are different from when Holik left and when Gomez left with Social media and all. I know it was big then but Gomez i felt like was a whole different animal.

Gomez did get more **** for it, but Holik also said he didn't plan to come back a year in advance. I found the New York Times story on it. Haven't read this since it happened, but it was just how I remembered it.

Just wanted to get some other Devils fans opinions on this for my fantasy league. Between Zajac and Henrique, who would you rather in a league that uses G, A, PPP, +/-, PIM, SOG, and SHP? I already have one that I'm swaying towards but I just wanted to see what others think.

It's a keeper league by the way if that at all changes your opinion.

Zajac, especially because Henrique is out for the first few weeks and we know Zajac will be centering Kovy.

I think Zajac has a big year. He'll be fresh with a brand new contract. Playing with Kovy won't hurt. Excited for this season to finally start.

I have no idea how to project stats in a 48 game season.

In calculating that figure in a 48 game season this rougly comes out to 17G-20A. And yes! I needed a calculator for that! I ain't that good with math!

Just wanted to say I've been noticing your avatar. It kept making me think if Travis was gonna be another Zach, and you would have had to do something else with that jersey! Glad it's not the case!

I only got through the 1st period of the scrimmage. I'm just now starting the 2nd. I'm a little concerned about our PK. Tallinder, Larsson, and Matteau beat all by themselves!

That's not really why though. I've been concerned since last playoffs. Gotta figure out what went wrong with it in the playoffs, and hope to at least have a top PK again. Losing untimely faceoffs was a big problem in the playoffs on the PK I know that.

i still have a bad feeling that larsson is going to be one of the odd men out on defense. the thought of that even being remotely possible doesnt please me one bit.

No way. He won't be sitting. Maybe a couple games here and there he'll be rotated out, but I don't expect him to be the press box fixture, and I definitely don't expect him to be sent down.

For what it's worth, now almost an hour into the scrimmage, the guy who really stands out is Zajac. He looks terrific.

Celebrated his new contract the right way. Hope he keeps it up into the season.

Madden scored 15-20 goals 4-5+ times. Josefson may top out at ten in his best year.

I think he'll do better than that. 10 goals is shortchanging his offensive potential.

I started the D'Agositini speculation I made a thread "Devils prosposal (Mostly Tallinder)" something along those line and I had D'agostini for Tallinder as a 1 for 1 and Blues fans said they'd be more than happy to agree to it

Of course they would. Tallinder is a good established D, D`Agostini is... kinda not. They would have to add.

I like him, but he had one solid NHL season and while he`s a great fit, he`s simply a question mark. You don`t trade someone like Tallinder for such a big question mark.

Yes, he'll be setting up Kovy on the left point.

This is assuming he doesn't **** the bed the beginning of the season.

I tend to stay away from drafting devils in fantasy. Don't want bias creeping in although I keep Kovalchuk every year. Couldn't help that one though.

If we find a forward to sign and/or the kids step up, then I'd be ok with Tallinder being shipped out for a valued pick either this year or next year. That loss of a 1st needs to be addressed at some point and 2 2nds would be an adequate response.
