Don't understand why this draft is starting at 3. Should've been Noon or 1:00 PM.

Okay, here's my wish list for today/tomorrow/near future:

Sign Vinny, Elias, let Clarkson walk.
Trade down from 9 to the 13/14 area, pick up an extra second.
Draft one of Domi or Horvat if available at 13/14.
Second round picks: Petan and Dauphin.

All of a sudden, the prospect pool starts looking pretty good.

Forwards:
Domi/Horvat, Matteau, Boucher, Petan, Dauphin, Gavrus, Pietila.....not bad.

Defenese:
Merrill, Gelinas, Severson, Urbom, Helgeson, Scarlett, Burlon.....pretty, pretty good.

Goaltending:
Kinkaid, Wedgewood, Clermont, Frazee......TBD.

Not a stellar prospect list by any means, but one that has depth and parts to make trades with. Okay, Lou/Conte, make it happen.

That is possible, but not every team will do that. Maybe if we see some really bizarre picks early then teams will be re-examining their own draft boards.

The buzz that will happen every time a time out is taken is going to add a lot of excitement and drama. Is it a trade? Who's it with? Who's trading up? Is it for someone who's sliding?
