And with that, Rangers score to make it 2-1 (Nash should've been in the box, check the main board for that hit) and Dan Ellis looks to be cut and leaves the game. It's a 4-1 NJ lead

Kopecky fittingly gets the ENG for the Panthers, 3-1. Markstrom with 44 saves, good for the kid

It's funny there's been a cap for years now yet the Rangers have remained the same type of team they were in the 90s. Signing big names that do well elsewhere , who do nothing there. Add Gaborik and Richards to the long list of star players that their fan base can't stand and want off the team. Some things never change

Thought last few years they were on the right track, some good trades and building through the draft but the Nash deal was a classic Sather move.

^Add into that some of the players just look lackadaisical under Torts. Brad Richards looks horrible. Seemed like only Nash was bringing something though like I said before it may be because this is his first yr under Torts. Of course he may miss a few games after that hit tonight

Buffalo beats Toronto, that was a crazy game.

I want Boston to win due to the fact they won't change their system. They are still the best team in the east w/ their defense but are less powerful w/o a true offensive gameplan.

If they go on a losing streak, they could potentially turn to a very in your face brand of hockey which would make them the front runner for the Cup.

Let's hope they stay at least somewhat beatable.

With both Buffalo and Washington winning, the Flyers will drop to 14th in the Eastern Conference! :D

If you watch the Isles - they have talent. They pass very well. And then for parts of the game they just completely disappear. It's like watching 2 different teams.

They are a dangerous team nonetheless.

They have offensive talent. So if they're allowed to skate, or allowed time to set up in the offensive zone, they're dangerous. They often live or die because of their powerplay.

But they're a really bad team defensively or when the opposition actually makes it difficult to score goals. They score a lot off the rush. Goals off the cycle are rare. If a team plays a tight checking game, or doesn't allow them to skate much, they simply can't manufacture goals at 5 on 5. And they simply can't stop other teams from scoring on them.

Having said that, they probably end the Pens winning streak tomorrow.

Correction, if we just play 'the right way' we are the best team in the East :).
Our bottom is way lower than there's though, which I take it us your meaning also.

Alex Kovalev, who officially retired this week, played 1,316 games w/ 430 goals/599 assists for #NYR, #Pens, #Canadiens, #Sens #FlaPanthers

Figured Alex Kovalev may announce retirement w/ #FlaPanthers visiting #NYRangers, but was told this was done quietly; didn't want attention

Hell of a career. Sad to see it end this way. The man was so talented and was one of my favorite Pens in his prime. Had the softest hands I've ever seen.

From now on it will be said that players who have been waived are being "chuked". Poor bahstid! Hopefully he can man-chuck up this summer and make a roster somewhere next year.

NYR and FLA have been told by NHL there will be no supplementary discipline for Rick Nash's hit on Tomas Kopecky.

Unbelievable. Wonder what Torts has to say.
