Booked my flights today as soon as the schedule was released

Will be at the home stand beginning January 21st against the Blues, Then Capitals and Rangers (Yankee Stadium).

Finally get to go to The Rock. Missed out in October when I was in NYC thanks to the lockout.

Spent the majority of today fine tuning my vacation. So awesome!

I keep forgetting about the outdoor game. I'm gonna try to make that if it's only for a weekend. I was planning a random weekend trip with my buddy down here. We came up on a random weekend in February 2012 and the Devils happened to be playing the Lightning (Marty St Louis hat trick game) so I'd like to do another one, not including the Yankee Stadium game.

God damn, I just realized the Devils/Hawks game is the same week as the Packers/Bears game which I plan to go to. I have no idea how I'm gonna pull off both of those in a 6 day span but there's no way in hell I'm passing up on seeing the Devs play live for the first time in 10 years. My bank account is gonna be hurtin heading into the new year.

All the back to backs looks bad, but if you look at who they're against, at least they don't have much travel between games. They have two home/away splits with each of the Caps, Pens, Isles, Sabres and Canes. Plus they have two back to backs with both games at home, and road back to backs against Edmonton/Vancouver, Anaheim/Los Angeles, and Tampa Bay/Florida.

Teams typically get worn down when the play a lot of back of backs.

It's not a coincidence we have ten more than the Raggies.

I think the back to back games get a bit overestimated. For sure, you're not as fresh as you would like to be, but it's not like these guys aren't used to it. Growing up playing youth, juniors, college, etc., teams routinely do 2-3 games per weekend, with some having as many as 5.

It's not like I'm ok with so many, but the players are accustomed to it.

Just put a jar in your closet and put $10 in it every week. You won't notice that, and that way you won't be hurting as much in January.
