The month of December is where this team will decide how high in the standings it'll will be.

14 games= 10 home, 4 away

Home:
Jets
Devils
Caps
Preds
Blue Jackets
Flames
Pens
Islanders
Wild
Maple Leafs

Away:
Caps
TBL
Panthers
Sabres

Aside from the one Pens game, that's 13 very winnable games.

Dat Name.....

Holy crap is that bad. I mean really, you could find more creative, educated, intelligent people on the street than in the NHL head office.

9 game road trip.. I'm hopeful for 6-3.. Games against LA, Detroit, StL, and Ana will be the tough ones

I was looking where it evened out and December looks like it's a nice month. If I was a player I would take a 10 game road trip to start if I could be home with my family during the holidays. It also gives a great chance for this team to start to bond right away, I like it.

Pacific, Central, Eastern, and Atlantic. Boom. Done. Where's my job NHL?

But our month of December makes up for the frightening start to the season. Those games could really give us a HUGE boost.

Hate to be a jinx but we are due for one against St. Louis.

They are the only NHL team Henrik doesn't have a win against.

Wow, 10 game home stand. Would have liked that spread out a bit more.

Still a trip i'd prefer to be midseason. Those teams aren't as bad at home.

Not me. I'd rather play the crappy teams later in the season when they don't have as much to play for and will play their backup more often - not to "throw" games, but not be very upset if they lost.

Teams with nothing to play for can be dangerous. They stay loose, aren't feeling tons of pressure, and feel like they can help make up for a poor season by sticking it to a better team.

Man lengthy road trips and lengthy home stands. Should be intersting to say the least. We need to come out with at least 5 wins of the first 9 on the road, imo.
