Alright, it's official NYR hockey tonight!

I enjoy these prediction threads to look back to throughout the year. It's always good for a heh in a few months time.

3 predictions of any kind.

1. Brassard becomes leading point getter on the team with 91 points.
2. Fast starts with the team and sticks with the team and gets off to a good start and wards off a demotion when Hagelin rejoins the lineup.
3. Brian Boyle, despite his decent start, is traded around the trade deadline.

1. NYR wins the division

2. NYR makes it to the ECF

3. Mats Zuccarello scores 50+ points

4. Carl Hagelin leads all NYR forwards in +/-

5. The Rangers have ten 30+ point scorers (8F, 2D)

I have such a good feeling about this year, but that is likely gone and replaced by utter despair by October 4th...

Predict GOOD OLE Johnny Cakes will get a standing ovation upon his return to MSG on November 30. NOT
OTOH one can hope Hagelin gets PP time and scores three five-holes on Luongo this game
And that John Moore pummels Torts new pet peave - whomever that is to become

Rangers will rival Pitt all season for the Division.

Lindberg will win the Calder.

Stepan will match last year's production.

Wrath will be in the line-up by December.

Nash will score 45+ goals.

Boyle will be traded.

Henrik will win the Vezina.

McD will lead the D in scoring.

Rangers will make the SCF.

Sorry I am illiterate and do not know how to count.

Is this over 2 seasons?

1. Pouliot surprises, scores 21 goals.
2. Hank's stats suffer a bit early in the season, due to the new tactics. He'll then adjust and finish at .927.
3. Nash does not surpass 35 goals.
4. DZ profites greatly from the new coaching, making him our highest scoring defender.
5. John Moore loses his roster spot to McIlrath midway through the season.
6. We'll be below .500 for the first 8 games of the season: 3-4-1.

J.Moore becomes a regular on D and the PP Point

McIlrath, Fast and Miller spend almost the whole year in Hartford,
Lindberg and Kristo are up and down to Hartford depending on NYR needs,
while Hrivik, once given a chance, grabs and keeps a spot on wing. Maybe Mashinter too

Stepan stays away too long, starts slow, and has nagging injuries; has a disappointing regular season, but is back in form for March/April/May/+ 8^)

Richards, Zucc, Pouliot deliver the scoring depth behind Nash/Brassard to keep the team winning most games until Cally and Hags get back.

One of the depth F's - Pyatt, Dorsett, Asham, Haley, Mashinter, Powe (probably not) starts hot with a bunch of goals in the first 10 games

Kreider pots ~18 goals but with fewer assists, has inconsistent first half, but is flying and strong both ways come March

Lundqvist will not play more than 62 regular season games.

Stepan - 24 goals
Callahan - 28 goals
Nash - 36 goals
Hagelin - 14 goals
Richards - 17 goals
Brassard - 13 goals
Kreider - 19 goals
Zuccarello - 10 goals

Lundqvist - 1.99 G/A

McDonaugh 7 goals/ +13
Staal 4 goals/+8
Girardi 6 goals/+3
Del Zotto 9 goals/-2
Moore 11 goals/-1
Stralman 9 goals/+4

Finish 2nd in Metro Division (I still can't with that name :shakehead)

The Good:
-Nash scores 45 goals.
-Lindberg and Zucc both become a huge part of this team and land about 50-55 points each.
-Richards bounces back.
-Lundqvists numbers aren't as low as they have been the past two year due to smaller pads but still has a vezina type season. (2.05-2.20 GAA) & (Goes for all goalies as well)
-Kreider breaks out with 25 goals.
-John Moore becomes a top 4 defenseman.

The Bad:
-Stepan doesn't have as good as a season as last year.
-Staal starts of slow but just has an okay season.
-Brian Boyle gets traded or sent down.
-Brassard has a let down season getting 40 points.

1. Lindberg finishes the season with the big club. Kid is a stud.
2. Stepan starts off slow, and people demand we trade him for a legitimate top-six center like Jussi Jokinen.
3. Brassard tops 60 points.

Kreider with 10 goals.
DZ has 42 points.
McD cracks 35 points.
Brad will look better than last season.
PP will improve. :sarcasm:

Edit: 1 more, one of Yogan/Mash will make the team.

If Kreider does well, his poor play last season will be blamed on Torts.

If Kreider does poorly, it will be said that Torts ruined him.

1. Ryan McDonagh will not get regular PP time. Rangers fans revolt.
2. Brian Boyle will get third line minutes and occasionally fall down. Rangers fans revolt.
3. AV will switch up the lines when things aren't going well. Rangers fans revolt.
4. There will be no semblance of an enforcer on the roster. Rangers fans revolt.
5. There will be more mentions of Tomas Kundratek on HFNYR than any Ranger player.

3. Brassard tops 60 points.

I cant stop laughing holy ****.
