New thread. Go Jets! This should be a really interesting game. Falcons are HUGELY underachieving and the Jets are looking to take advantage of it. Falcons have zero pass rush and the Jets are really bad at pass protecting. Can they get Geno enough time? He'll be in a dome with perfect weather, too.

Also, for the Giants, I don't think it's too early to start talking about the draft.

We should be picking in the top 5 and there should be some great talent available this year. I really love the depth of this draft. We can address the secondary, defensive line, and offensive line this draft.

The secondary depth in the draft is unbelievable. NFL-caliber players after the 2nd round.

From the last thread:

http://www.bigblueview.com/2013/10/7/4812524/giants-vs-eagles-snap-counts-pff-grades

PFF grades are out for the Giants game.

Surprising -- Boothe doing so well. I didn't notice him so it makes sense.

Not surprising -- Eli and Diehl were both putrid and graded putrid. Why the **** do we continue to play a shot vet in Diehl when we need to be seeing how our young OL players do?

Will Hill played well and graded well. Nice to have him back. Stay off the ganja, son. Johnathan Hankins had a great game, too. But, you know, he's under 30 so TC will have him glued to the bench again.

hasnt eli been restructuring his deal pushing money towards the backend of his contract to free space? nicks is a great player, but hes so injury prone and cruz is the better receiver who is locked up long term. randle can be a good number 2. people said we wouldnt be able replace plax, then it was smith, now it will be nicks, but we will find a way. need to reinvest in upgrading the lines.

In terms from the previous thread in playing more young guys on the OLine, especially over Diehl, I could not agree more.

Same deal with Damontre on the DLine.

Romo is a very good QB. Great arm, acurrate, semi-mobile, elusive and tough.

Eli has had two great playoff runs -- about 8 games -- in a 10 year career. Outside of those eight games, he's been an enigma. His decision making is marginal, and his management of the clock is also suspect.

Romo has been in a position to do what Eli did. He's had very good teams supporting him. But he's Dave Winfield when its clutch time.

Right now, I'd rather have Romo and roll the dice come postseason. Eli has proven the last two seasons that he's nowhere near the top eschelon.

I talked about Tom Brady's decline after Week 2 and was laughed at.

Currently, Brady ranks:

27th in completion pct
16th in yards
31st in yds/att
T-13th in TDs
22nd in QBR
18th in YPG
17th in Total QBR

I watched four of his five games. People can blame the personnel all they want, but hes just not accurate anymore.

A 4,000 yard 26 TD and 15 INT season is enigmatic? He has been awful this year, no getting around that. His line is awful, too.

Eli's clutch ability extends beyond 8 games, and those are HUGE 8 games by the way. He is consistently one of the best 4th quarter and two minute drill QB's in the league.

Anyone who says Brady is better than Peyton needs to be slapped.

Hey guys, I'm going to the game on Sunday. I've been to the stadium before but I've always gone by train. We're going to be driving there this time. Should I buy the parking pass beforehand, or can I just buy it at the stadium?

I'd buy it before, but it's telling me that I have to pick it up at will call since I have a Canadian billing address, and I assume I have to park before I can go to will call, heh.

Thanks!

The Jets having bad pass-pro is totally overblown. I forgot where I read it, but Geno has like the 3rd most time in the pocket of any QB in the league right now. The problem is he always steps backwards when he feels pressure instead of stepping into the pocket. He also holds into the ball forever which doesn't help.

Geno gets plenty of time.

I agree. If Sanchez had stayed healthy he would have had one of his better seasons.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...o-go-around-for-new-york-jets-protection-woes (ignore the source -- the numbers come from PFF)

It's a mix.

The Jets pass protection sucks and Smith holds onto the ball too much. His mistakes are rookie mistakes while the pass protection is big problem.

A lot of this is because Smith is constantly checking every receiver (same thing he did at WV). It's a good trait. They need to get him to do it quicker, though.

Richardson and Wilkerson have elevated the Jets defense back to Revis-in-his-prime levels.

Geno is gonna be a good QB once he fully develops, kid has all the tools. I cant wait until the jets finally add more firepower then next couple years
