honestly the Giants need a stable MLB. Its really annoying watching the revolving door at that position. Who can we draft this year that would stabilize that position for a while?

The Giants will take BPA no matter the round. The only weak spot right now is at guard. The rest is depth through the draft. I'm also worried about backup QB I don't like Curtis Painter.

P.S.

Myers is a great signing as a pass catching TE. If you can put those numbers in Oakland just imagine the middle of the field when people have to worry about Cruz and Nicks plus a running game. Teach him to block some though. Still draft a blocking tight end.

As far as the Jets are concerned. They cut and lost pretty much everyone and everything they had to lose except the QB and more importantly and I think their biggest problem, THE HEAD COACH.

He's a good offensive piece, but he's AWFUL at blocking. Coach Pope'll probably help him a little but I doubt he can make him into an even average blocker.

True, but playing out of position doesn't completely explain his lack of explosiveness. He should be alright, a faster Chase, but he still lacks great mobility and movement.

At least from what I've seen in my research since we've found him. Maybe going to a 4-3 masks his deficiencies really well.

He is not a fluid player and does not have a good injury history. He always gets nicked up, probably because of the style of play. Either way he can't be worse than what the Giants have put forth at MLB but he is not the answer. Still a good locker room guy and solid st player and backup and adequate starter if needed. But if I'm the Giants I get Alec Ogletree.

As far as the Jets are concerned. Willie Colon is a good player. I'm shocked he only signed for a year. That is a good signing for the Jets. Goodson is a solid back too. Reminds me of Andre Brown, sturdy and strong and patient. And with little mileage on the wheels. That's the kind of signing you make when you do your homework. I do think the Jets had to blow up that team. But the fact the coach is still there is a problem.

My ten most important and fundamental aspects of a winning football team.

1. Good to great Offensive Line play
2. Great Defensive Line play
3. Good to great Quarterback play
4. Good to great Defensive backfield play
5. Good to great Receiver play
6. Good to great Special Teams play
7. Reliable Kicking Game, a great punter is a plus for field position
8. Good Run Defense
9. Good Running Game
10. Injury (This is probably number 1 actually but good teams overcome it)

Which makes me realize maybe the Giants AND Jets should draft linemen with their first picks. I am one of those people who undervalues linebackers in the first round, they have every high bust potential because of the nature of the league.

We managed to win in 2011 without these. The miraculous season.

Jets sign Antwan Barnes. That's a good add for them. Should help the pass rush, and he'll probably start. Those are the moves they need to make--cheap, upside.

Jets have added Colon, Barnes, Garay, Goodson. If they were to bring in Kellen Davis and Dawan Landry, as rumored, they move back into "potentially .500" territory.

Of course, that's predicated on Sanchez not being the worst QB in the league.

So Carr's Agent's yearly jaunt around the NFL to see if there is starter interest has once again culminated in his return to backup the healthiest QB in NFL history.

They outlawed using the crown of the helmet in the NFL. So now RB's can't brace themselves with hits or truck people over and viceversa. This sport is becoming flag football. It's also gonna make power running backs a liability. As well as the running game really. Stupid. If they are concerned that much about concussions they might as well outlaw the game. Now backs are gonna be taught to run more upright which leads to bad knees and shorter careers, or much worse if people start breaking necks. They should sign a waiver against concussions or not play the game if they are concerned with their health.

You can still drop your pad level and truck someone with your shoulder, leading with your helmet just can't be good for your health IMO.
