RGIII is a stud.

Too bad his brain will be mush after 2 seasons.

Meh, he didn't take any hits bigger than other quarterbacks normally do in this game. Romo probably got hit as hard or harder

RG3 had a mediocre as **** game though, Morris and RG3's running were more effective than his passing

edit: Romo is a really talented quarterback who has played on a lot of not so great teams and the line in front of him is trash. He does make some bad throws under pressure though and it cost them the game tonight

Romo just doesn't win big games. It's what holds him back from being looked at as a great QB. Puts up great regular season stats, but just shrinks at the biggest moments.

The amount of rookie QB's making an impact this year was really something special. Luck, Wilson, RGIII and Tannehill are all studs.

Kirk Cousins and Nick Foles won some games, and I even like Brock Osweiler taking over the reigns in Denver in a year or 2 after being groomed behind Manning. Very impressive QB class.

i love this

He had 5 4th quarter comebacks/game winning drives this year.

He's a great QB and when he's traded away/signs elsewhere, he'll excel with that team.

Great QBs don't lose games like that with the playoffs on the line. I like Romo and think he's a very solid QB. I think he's also tough as nails. But he's the opposite of clutch.

Romo is the Philip Rivers of the NFC.

Congratulations True Blue. Your Skins will be tough on Big Blue for many years into the future. Nevertheless, you STILL need to pay off your losing bets from earlier years

I don't see how he can't be clutch when he led the NFL in game winning drives this past year.

If anything, he was 'clutch' this season.

He makes terrible decisions at the wrong times. It's the same story with him every year. He simply doesn't get the job done when it matters most. 1 and 6 in elimination games is hardly clutch.

Didn't the Giants do the same thing with Coughlin? I know Reese took over for a retired GM rather than fired, but in your logic Reese should have fired Coughlin and picked his own coach.

No, it's not the same situation as the Giants. Both Coughlin and Reese were already there. And Reese didn't come in under the same circumstances as whoever the Jets hire. Not at all comparable.

What's more, there's nothing to suggest that Reese wanted to replace Coughlin. And if the Jets want to attract someone like Polian, you can't tell a candidate of that stature that he can't hire his own coach.

Giants finished 2006 8-8. They started 6-2 and finished 2-6. They made the playoffs at 8-8 and lost in the first round too. That's a pretty messy season.

Clutch isn't what you do, it's when you do it. He can have all the game winning drives he wants, and it's something Giants fans have credited Eli for for years, but if he never does it in the playoffs or in regular season playoff atmospheres then he's not clutch.

You can't just be clutch all season and then decide to not show up in the playoffs and call yourself clutch. A-Rod has a list of regular season walkoff hits bigger than Santa's Christmas list. Is he a clutch player?

As far as I remember, Reese actually wanted to keep Coughlin. He liked him since he had already been working with him. Acorsi was just old and wanted to retire. No idea how anyone could relate this to the Jets scenario fiasco.

So is Gilbride and Tuck.

Tuck I can understand. Besides this year guy has been an important member of the team. Let him finish his contract (unless we need the money to resign more important players) and then that book'll close.

I can even, sadly, understand Fewell. Guy is godawful at his job but I don't know who else would be much better. Fewell absolutely blows but we won a SB with him, so i'll take that over a guy who blows that I don't know if we can win a SB with.

Fewell is nowhere near as bad as people are making him out to be. Our defensive personal is trash outside of JPP, Anvil, Prince, KPP, Rolle, and Brown. That's it. Those were the only difference makers on defense and the only guys that came to play every day. And Rolle and Brown are such big home run guys that you get strike-outs all the time with them.

This team needs a rebuild on defense. A near 100% rebuild, too. Way too much dead weight.

He was bad last season too. He turned it up a notch in the playoffs, but that' still two seasons where he's playing subpar.

JPP is the one who gets held and gets two players on him. Where the **** was Tuck? I see nothing to be lead to believe this guy can once again be a force.

KPP? Man, i wish Kenny was as big as JPP. Then maybe he wouldn't be injured all the time.

I was inclined to agree with this last season. However, even though we lack defensive ability, that doesn't absolve Perry from how bad he did. For some reason he thinks lining up JPP at NT is a good idea. He doesn't blitz nearly as often as he should. The "off and soft" strategy rarely works and he never let his corners press at the line- it's not a coincidence one of the only good games C-Web had this season (I believe in GB) was when Fewell was having him press at the line.

Rolle isn't great but Fewell rarely put him in the position to make the most consistent impact.

He's not the worst coordinator in the league...but he is pretty bad and I really hope we find a replacement soon.

edit- I'm also going to voice my dislike of the new trend that turnovers are king in the NFL. Guys like Brown and Antrel shouldn't be cornerstones on D. I'd take a player like Kenny Phillips any day, but it seems the NFL is heading in that direction. I think if we rely on turnovers again we'll see another year of inconsistent, average defense.
