The row 1 gallery seats, to me are a novelty. Something people want to do once, to have the tvs and willing to splurge once or maybe once a year. But, not prices most people are going to want to spend for too many games. If you are going to have those or lower level, my advice would be to buy as a season only if you plan to go to most of the games. I would say at least 30.

I have had season tickets since 1980 so I have been it if for he long haul.
I go to 15 to 20 games a year. I changed to the row 1 gallery seats from row 15 in section 115 because there was more leg room and better sight-lines.
The price difference is only $1 less for the Gallery seats. I thought people would be more interested in the row 1 Gallery seats but it doesn't appear that way.
I think that if people are more willing to pay up to $185.00 per seat for lower level seats in the corner than 1st row Gallery seats. If I can't downgrade to row 2 Gallery next year I might consider moving back downstairs in the $136 face value gallery seats.

I'm sure the Rangers monitor the secondary market and it will be interesting to see what they do with prices next year based upon how lousy the resale market is this year. Next year when we have to pay for 3 exhibition games will make our average cost even higher.

I feel that this is definitely the case. Friends who I go with are always saying.. I would rather pay the extra money to go sit in the 100s than up in the 200s. I say that Row 1 and 2 from the 200s are actually a lot better than the super crammed 100 level section. However, my friend (casual fan) says you're a lot closer to the action in the 100s etc and "not super high up".

And the best point I think was made when someone said that nobody knows what the Gallery seats are. We know because we're familiar with MSG and the different sections. For an out of towner whose looking to attend a game, I highly doubt he would feel a "novelty" feeling and pay extra to be in the 200s.

It's all in the eyes of the beholder I guess.

Yeah, I would take the 115 row 15 over the gallery row 1s. Before the renovation, I had absolutely my favorite seats in 120 row A. Then the relocation screwed everything and I had 210 row 1 last year. I would've kept hose seats if there were NO TVs, NO glass and if the concourse in the 200s is not so crowded. The TVs are a distraction, radiation hazard and takes away legroom. The glass is annoying as you have to either lean over to see over it or duck a bit to see thru it. The 200 concourse is a disaster waiting to happen. I love the madison concourse.

It really is the cost. Me personally, I would take the row 1s in the 200s all else being equal. BUT, I am not paying $135 per ticket. I think the average person, would prefer the lower level seat, but again most aren't going to take too many games @ $136 per ticket.

Agreed. I refuse to go down to the 200 concourse between periods.

It is definitely the case. I have sat low in other arenas and find it annoying as it is harder to follow the play if it is not right in front of you. "super high up" i can see the whole ice surface without having to constantly move in my seat.

The biggest drag about lower level seats is the leg room.
I can deal with having people stand up in front of me and having to maybe lean around someone once in a while to see but those damn seats are so tight.

You're so right about the 200 level concourse though.

Where are your seats this year?

I have 4 like you but in 2 separate pairs. One in 213 low row. The other in 103 $118 price point. You are right about the legroom but I can actually deal with that if I am at or near the aisle. That's what I'll be looking for next season. Lower corner on the aisle.

Which seats do you prefer to sit in?
I would imagine the section 213 are better from a resale standpoint.

Hey all, there's a dedicated thread for discussing season tickets...this is for posting tickets for sale. Not that I disagree with anything you guys are saying. lol

I have 2 in 111 row 17, 2 seats off the aisle. I'm right inside the entry way and I think the seats are in a great location on the rangers shoot 2x side. I want to relocate to the cheaper 200's next year. Maybe you can take my seats and they'll let me move?? Haha :help::yo:

Sorry about that. Based upon the number of responses and back and forth it' s obviously an important subject for those of us with season tickets.

Getting back on topic if anyone is interested in a bargain.
I have up to 4 seats for this Sunday vs. Calgary.

Face value is $135 and I'm asking the bargain basement price of $75.00 per ticket
for these unique row 1 Gallery seats in section 220.
Will sell 2 or all 4 tickets.

Selling two seats in Section 213 row 10 to tomorrow night's game vs. Nashville
Price per ticket is $55, below face.
I can meet you prior to the game at MSG or can forward you the e-tickets from my Ranger's account after payment via paypal.

It really depends where. In the delta club platinum seats there is tons of leg space, almost enough for someone to stand in front of you and still have space for your legs

Can't even imaging the price of those.
As it is my 4 tickets cost me $540.00 per game.

They start at $385 per seat on a full season basis. Completely impossible to break even on stubhub but relative to the Yankees Legends at $500+ it's a pretty good deal. You basically have to work on wall street to justify the expense

I have 6 bar stool seats all center ice...2 in sec 212 and 4 in 210

These seats have their own counter tops and plenty of space compared to the crampes regular seats

Tickets can be emailed

I have all 6the for both the Predators and Bluejacket games this Tuesday and Thursday

Nothing like spending $63k on season tickets for 4 seats. :)

Add another $4,620.00 for 3 preseason games.

Speaking of preseason games. I'm sure the Rangers factored the revenue they would have gotten from preseason games into the ticket prices for the 3 seasons they didn't have any preseason games. The least they could do next year and going forward is reduce the preseason games by 50%. Paying full price for 3 preseason games effectively raises the per ticket price by 7%.
