This is correct...$2.50 to print at home...so $5.00 per ticket if you are also getting the ticket emailed to you....
Not the greatest "All systems go"...Thank you fans..Start IMO

Well, all fees have been waived for this season. The section on Reprinting tickets starts off by saying you can print any ticket at no additional cost, but then down the page in Step 6 it says the $2.50 fee is waived for 2012-13. (that fee is waived for forwarding tickets this season as well).

The $2.50 email/forwarding fee would assumedly include allowing the recipient to print the ticket. You wouldn't get charged another $2.50 for "reprinting" a ticket you'd received through forwarding. Although I guess if you reprinted and then subsequently decided to forward the ticket to someone you could be charged twice...? That's if they're even going to actually charge for reprinting.

Maybe reprinting will remain free forever and they just inadvertently cut and pasted in that text from the Forwarding Tickets section. And I'd be fine with that - as long as there's a free method for our group to distribute the tickets we're cool.

Although ideally I'd prefer collectable printed tickets on ticket stock, but what do you want for $8000/year? :sarcasm:

STH got two discount cards per seat last season. The 15% really isn't very special anymore. CAA members get 10% and Show and Save cardholders also get 10%. TNSE/The Winnipeg Jets haven't really done anything for STH.

Hey, come on - if you buy $1000 worth of merch at Jets Gear, you save an extra $50 over those CAA and Show & Save chumps - and the more you spend, the more you save!

Of course, STH's did make an indefinite interest-free loan of $500-$1000 per seat to TNSE during the Drive to 13,000 (probably totalling close to $10,000,000).

And TNSE has been keeping us well informed via email during the lockout - 13,000 STH's, maybe 6 or 7 emails x $2.50 email admin fee (that's the going rate for an email, right?) = almost a quarter-million dollars right there!

Let's all just pretend every email I post in this thread has a sarcasm smiley at the end...

Be nice if they'd ship extras(at customers charge) and groups could load games onto the cards as they wish.

I can see the reasons for TNSE (and all Sports teams) to move to a system like this: no cost to print tickets, easier to manage the online portion of reselling, etc.

However, TNSE must be aware of how many people in this city have purchased season tickets as part of a group. TNSE has been front and centre during the drive to 13000 as well as ongoing during the season in documenting and enabling group purchases.

If TNSE goes down the road to implement a system that "purposely" goes out of it's way to add additional costs to the very season ticket groups that TNSE encouraged, I will be very disappointed in our ownership. Pretty disgusted actually.

And before someone tells me it's all business, yada yada yada, to me it's not about TNSE finding a potential avenue for revenue and exploiting it. I'm fine with the additional costs for people to sell these tickets online. Adding additional costs to a season ticket group to distribute their tickets is wrong IMO.

if this is the case then i must ask, how do you currently claim your discount?

We received 4 wallet-sized discount cards with our season ticket package. I assume they sent out discount cards based on the number of names on the contract.

It is especially disgusting when people signed 3-4-5 year contracts without being notified of anything like this happening in that timeframe.

I think the best thing to do in this case is for everyone who is negatively affected by this to let TNSE how upset they are.

Maybe they just hadn't properly assessed how inconvienent/ annoying, or insulting this was to their ST holders.

I'm guessing by the fact that True Norths Season ticket holders line has been jammed all day is telling that this is already taking place

So this is the email I wrote to True North. I am a STH btw, and was looking forward to dividing up tickets tonight. :(

I have to say I am pretty disappointed in True North Sports & Entertainment.

Contrary to what you may choose to believe, your new online ticket system makes dividing tickets within groups and between friends and family more complicated, and creates an added time burden on people in to divide up their tickets. Before, it was a simple process of dividing physical tickets. In addition, the online system takes away from the pleasure of giving tickets away as gifts. This system is laborious and uncalled for and takes away from the fun of collecting physical tickets as mementos to a special event in people’s lives.

I sincerely hope you are not actually planning on charging season ticket holders (of which I am one) a $2.50 charge for printing/forwarding their season tickets after this year. Such an act of disrespect to hard working fans who are paying a premium for hockey in Winnipeg would disheartening at the best and unthinkingly greedy at the worst. Therefore, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming this was a typo in your STH User Manual soon to be rectified.

In light of season ticket holders having to deposit/give a free loan to TNSE for anywhere from $250-1000 for the right to purchase season tickets, gouging the consumer as you plan on doing is unconscionable.

Physical tickets should be included in the payment of season tickets. Please see to it that hard copy tickets are made available to Season Ticket Holders at no additional charge.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your quick resolution of this unfortunate mistake.

Am I wrong about any of this?

Pretty much what I sent. I e-mailed my rep about this very thing last summer and never got a response. In fact my rep rarely if ever responds to any questions that I have.

Nice of TNSE also to have my season ticket account # on the front of my ticket envelope that arrived today. :shakehead Perhaps next time they could also print out my credit card number on the front on my ticket envelope as it travels through the mail system.
:sarcasm:
I also appreciated the past e-mails that also included my username and password in one e-mail.:amazed: I have only had to change my password twice because of this.

TNSE appears to be showing some dents in the armour.;)

Can't say I'm impressed with the season ticket cards. Just seems like a pain in the ass having to forward people tickets when it was just as easy as handing them the ticket(s) in person. Not to mention the "administrative fee" they've tacked onto it :shakehead

On a different topic, I logged into My Winnipeg Jets account and checked out my financial status and noticed my Total Account Credit amount to date was $632.70. Is that accurate? I selected Option A at the beginning of lockout and it just seems there should be more after 17(?) cancelled home games.

Any other P6 season ticket holders with 2 seats with similar credit?

My 2 P7 full season seats show a "Total Account Credit amount to date" of $1,680.00. Contact your ticket rep.

My account (I'm a P6er as well) was showing something like that, but now it seems to be updated to the full amount.

PS. Welcome!

I'm not terribly impressed with the new card-based system.

To follow up on a previous post, by my calculations there still should be another credit for ~10 games to make up the difference between the home games cancelled and those left to play (24).

If I selected "credit" during the lockout, should there not be a January refund issued on the 1st, and paid by about the 10th like previous months?

Or did they cancel the refunds now to apply to next year?

I talked to my rep and asked him if there was anyway of utilizing a smartphone to avoid carrying a piece of paper into every game and he said no.this blows my mind that they would implement a system like this without having the ability to use all of the technology available the system is powered by ticket master yet there is no way of using the ticketmaster app to store ticket info and barcodes as of yet.truly frustrating

BY THE WAY, IF YOU FORWARD TICKETS TO SOMEONE, THEY MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH THE JETS/TSNE AND GIVE THEM THEIR INFORMATION. HOW IS THAT MORE CONVIENENT FOR ANYONE INVOLVED?!?!

AND IF YOUR WONDERING WHY IM YELLING ITS BECAUSE IM PISSED.

People love to complain, and in this case this is some justification.

Agreed. It doesn't really affect me as the sole holder of my seat, but I can understand it being a pain for those who share seats.

I'll wait to see how it's handled going forward, but at first glance it does look like a bit of a cash grab disguised as convenience. Then again, I think the Jets are one of a handful of teams who have this system.
