Hey all, just curious as to which prospect people are hearing has the most hockey smarts, that is the player who sees the ice well and always makes the right play in both the offensive and defensive zones?

Zibenjad sounds like a highly intelligent player, as does Larsson. And maybe no so coincidentally, both are based out of Sweden.

Probably some kid that will be picked in rounds 4-6 out of one of the obscure leagues. In 4-5 years he breaks in, makes a name for himself, largely because of hockey sense most scouts didn't have enough viewings to properly evaluate.

Hockey sense takes a while to accurately evaluate.

Interesting someone noted that Swedes are often found to have high hockey sense...coincidentally they are always championed for being instilled with team concept from the beginning. Players with high hockey sense are basically masters of being able to mesh with the players around them, find the holes, the timing, and the right decisions.
