It ain’t 2025-26, I dont think there are multiple teams returning multiple 19 yr old NHL-1sts. The early top 3 are made up of Guelph, maybe Flint, OS, Ottawa?
Owen Sound is easily the best team in the west, London is far better than Guelph, Saginaw is better. I don’t know who you think the storm are. They just aren’t a good team. The Dcore is absolute garbage at this point for a team that’s looking to contend

Love all the naysayers. Should we just give OS the championship now on June 10th. Leenders couldn't win with Brantford's stacked lineup.

He is the only significant add since their playoff fiasco and are losing the two Delisle's, Nelson, Greenberg, Roberts, Rogers, Bennett and 2 OA F's at minimum. Obviously the coach must have been the problem if this a contending roster today.

Not to mention a rookie coach and GM along with a new scouting staff to fill all these holes. What could go wrong.
I love your confidence in the storm I admire it but owen sound is a super team compared to guelph. Everyone knows owen sound was garbage the second half because of Wray. Players gave up on him completely. Owen Sound isn’t some insane team but they are by far the best. Too many good teams for the storm to be close to the top. Most people are looking at the storm as worse than kelowna and that’s saying something

Don't wanna make the draft thread a standings thread, especially with the draft Friday, but I'm not nearly as high on OS as others are.

Least as currently constructed. Delisle brothers are gone/want out. That's their 1C & arguably the guy who would've been their 2C. So now it's... Crawford? Yeesh. Mbuyi, Zurawski, Nansi should be a terrific trio. Sykora is good. After that? Taylor, Royston, Jackman, Mikus, Wray, Crawford are no sure things to be anything more than depth players.

Defence still has a ways to go just like GUEs. Biggest advantage is Leenders, but he IMO is yet to take the step to elite status that everyone thought he would 2 years ago.

I saw a post about Guelph and how more than likely they will trade who ever they draft in the 1st round. It got me thinking why have this rule where you can’t trade your 1st round pick. Is it not more in the players best interest to not be waiting all year knowing Guelph is going to trade him than to just start the year at a team that traded for that pick

They can refuse being traded if they want

OS has a D of

OA Brown
07 Banks
08 Arnett
09 Bell - R

Who am I missing since Kwajah also said said No thanks

Down the middle

OA Langdon or Wray
07 Mikus
07 Crawford
09 Jackman

Who needs NHL drafted prospects with a roster this good

Whoever is drafted and traded will be traded before the season starts. I don’t think he will wait a year to be traded

I thought 16 year olds couldn’t be traded until like after Christmas
Only 1st round pick 16 year olds if they are signed can be tradted after Jan 1st. Unsigned 1sts that don't sign (defect) can be traded for picks and a compensatory pick.

Ie say Sudbury drafts Adams and he refuses to report. They can trade his rights to another team before a certain date for picks (usually contains conditional picks) Sudbury would then get a comp pick usually one pick back ie in this scenario Sudbury would draft 6th in next years draft in addition to there regular pick.
