I would be happy to be proved wrong here but respectfully, the roster as it sits today is not nearly competitive enough to compete for a Memorial Cup. There are still many moves to be made and I would expect it to almost be a certainty that whoever they select in the first round is moved at the trade deadline. Kelowna had 8 NHL prospects as well including an extremely high end F and they still got embarrassed.

I am not saying they are done. To start they still have 7 2nds which could add at least 2 or 3 signficant pieces. They have only traded 2 2nds to add the first 3 pieces.

I believe they are done until they have certainty with their major adds and who may come back by the deadline and or upgrades required. I trust George and Scott have a plan and are capable to execute.

We shall see but it is still very very early.

Yeah it’s still very early. That’s the good thing for the storm they have a whole season to continue to add. Right now they have 4 solid top 6 forwards so they need to add 2. They need to add a goalie even though I like jovanovski you need someone proven. Bottom 6 needs some additions to improve the depth. Defensively they need a top D. Spada is a top pairing guy. They got Singh, Jenkens who are second pairing guys, but outside of them it’s bleak. Probably a couple guys who are 7th D but not bottom pairing guys on a contender. So they need a 1D, 2 bottom pairing D, 2 top 6 guys, a starting goalie and some depth forward adds. I think they need to address the 1D first or they will get screwed paying a massive price at the deadline.

It's probably not anymore complicated than Oshawa prefers Cloutier to Adams and Erie is dead set on picking Kennedy so Adams would then go 3rd.
Yeah I can see that. I don’t think cloutier is so far behind adams but adams is more of a winning player to me. Cloutier is more skilled but the physicality of adams makes him the better prospect. Guy might be the best forechecker in the class

Guelph has more than four solid top six options, I think. (Bartovic), Czata, Hopkins are probably all L1/PP1/PK1 options for teams in 2026-27.
I expect them to add, but Guelph might not have to add much of anything at forward having middle six options of (Serlin maybe two OA Fs), Stevens, Wycisk McFadden, Shybinskyi, Snelgrove, Gallagher, Avery …

Only 4 top 6 guys they have are czata, hopkins, shy and wycisk the rest are bottom 6ers on any contender. Even shy and hopkins aren’t top 6ers on a true contender but they are fine for the storm since they aren’t contending for the ohl next year. Their best case is they win a game or two at the memorial cup. No way they are a top 3 team in the west no matter the moves they make

It ain’t 2025-26, I dont think there are multiple teams returning multiple 19 yr old NHL-1sts. The early top 3 are made up of Guelph, maybe Flint, OS, Ottawa?

Love all the naysayers. Should we just give OS the championship now on June 10th. Leenders couldn't win with Brantford's stacked lineup.

He is the only significant add since their playoff fiasco and are losing the two Delisle's, Nelson, Greenberg, Roberts, Rogers, Bennett and 2 OA F's at minimum. Obviously the coach must have been the problem if this a contending roster today.

Not to mention a rookie coach and GM along with a new scouting staff to fill all these holes. What could go wrong.
