I would be happy to be proved wrong here but respectfully, the roster as it sits today is not nearly competitive enough to compete for a Memorial Cup. There are still many moves to be made and I would expect it to almost be a certainty that whoever they select in the first round is moved at the trade deadline. Kelowna had 8 NHL prospects as well including an extremely high end F and they still got embarrassed.
I am not saying they are done. To start they still have 7 2nds which could add at least 2 or 3 signficant pieces. They have only traded 2 2nds to add the first 3 pieces.
I believe they are done until they have certainty with their major adds and who may come back by the deadline and or upgrades required. I trust George and Scott have a plan and are capable to execute.
We shall see but it is still very very early.
