2010 for the 2026 OHL DRAFT

Way early, but heard a tip today that Gabriel Belanger is going to be a sick player! Definitely 1st round talent. Wondering who else comes to mind? Kesler likely also a 1st round talent.

Does anyone have a super early top 5?

I don't have a top five list but I can tell you who the players who are playing a year up in U16.

D Massimo Catinella (Toronto Nationals)
D Liam Fortune (Cambridge Redhawks)
G Owen Loftus (Reps Hockey Club)
G Easton McArthur (York-Simcoe Express)
G Marko Mesich (Oakville Rangers)
C Landon Roulston (Toronto Marlboros)
F Roman Vanacker (Brantford 99ers), younger brother of Brantford Bulldogs forward Marek Vanacker

Of note, both goalies on this list are undefeated so far. McArthur is 6-0 with an 0.60 GAA and two shutouts. Mesich is 8-0 with a 1.13 GAA and three shutouts

Small note, but Roulston is with the Marlies.

Left Oakville about a month or so ago.

Jack Samek (Markham Majors) has the look of a high end forward prospect, big time skill and hockey IQ.

Christian Del Buono (Miss Reps) is a right shot centre with speed to burn.

Jaden Licastro (D) - Toronto Marlies U15AAA

Will add more names in due time. Someone already mentioned Roman Vanacker, younger brother of Marek.

Two guys I think will be top-20 players in April 2026 for the draft

Anyone know why Massimo played with his own age group last year on the Sens, after playing up pretty much all the way through?

He was out of Anaheim I think, but hometown Alaska…playing in Detroit, so not sure on his eligibility

Here were the rosters for the recent Alliance U15 prospects game from about a week ago. Team Navy won 5-2.

The player of the game of the game for Navy was Callum Brooks (Huron-Perth) who was born in October of 2011. For some crazy context that means he's eligible for the 2030 NHL Draft! He recently made his debut at the U16 level as a double underager and scored a goal in his second game!

Potential next exceptional status in the O??

Too early to say but something to keep and eye on for sure

Won’t be an exceptional status kid IMO but he’s very talented. Son of longtime Storm coach Jason Brooks for those that remember him.
 
Goalie Owen Loftus from the Reps Hockey Club was added to the list of 2010 born players playing up with the 09's this year. I missed him when I was going through the GTHL rosters the first time. Pretty crazy to see three goalies playing up with prominent teams
