What about the USNTDP? Is there still not a ton of risk associated to players projected to make that roster? How do you feel about that program compared to the OHL? The 67’s have about 3-4 players playing in that program right now and no talk about any of them leaving it. I’m curious to see how that program remains competitive. I think players will try out for that team as their Plan “A.” The ones that don’t make it may sign in the OHL. I’d be surprised if there was a significant shift in that regard.

the roster is announced before the draft but most of those players will play in the ohl at some point. i also think that alot of agents prefer their kids in the ohl over the usntdp. most of the kids who fill out surveys are 80 percent ohl vs ushl/ntdp.

Didn’t know this lol that’s crazy they’re always producing big time talent. Obviously the wright years there and Robertson played there too and many more I’m sure
Don Mills is a weird one. Some age groups they’re the absolute cream of the crop, like the David Levin/Jacob Tortora year, the Wright/Othmann year and now the 09’s, but then some years they’re one of the worst teams in the GTHL.

Wow that’s really weird I wonder why that is

They recruit the best players by getting a money guy to pay for the players and sometimes parents expenses. Hence the best players play for free.
It's the dark side of minor hockey, for sure. It's why you see random age groups be good within different orgs. Marlies and JRC are the lone exceptions, as they have the history people want to play for while also having a money guy at every age group; most organizations can't do that.

havent seen him in person so cant really comment, i think he is rated as a 3-6th round pick.
Daley is without a doubt a 1st round pick if he decides to go to the O. He’s one of the top players in NA at this age group.

I think we see a lot of American kids pass on the NTDP. The NTDP is sort of a mess right now.

How deep is this draft looking this year? My sense was last year the ‘08s were pretty deep. It stretched probably well into the half way point of the 2nd round with really good players. Is it looking similar this year? Is the top 4-5 looking stronger/weaker? Too early to tell?

Unfortunately, listed height and weight information is not all correct and likely outdated. I see a couple prospects listed at 5'9" that are both 6' tall and are 10 to 15 lbs heavier than the program listing.
Heights and Weights are from Rinknet as measured in October.

Which of these ranking websites is most accurate for the 2025 OHL draft?

- Breakaway Prospects
- Neutral Zone
- The Scout

or are they all way off?
