Joensuu has 1 goal and 1 assist in 39 games. I know he is playing with older competition, but I expected more than that out of him. Has anyone seen him play lately?

Older competition? He's been playing scrap minutes in the Finnish Elite League with men. He was the youngest player ever in the FEL as a 15-year old. Joensuu has stated, that if he won't get more playing time next year in Ässät's senior team, then a Canadian junior league might be one option for him.

Wouldn't be too worried about him yet...

That 1+1 is quite normal for that level and icetime. Next season he will get more icetime and over ten points.

In junior A-level where most players are only 2-3 years older he has made over point per game:
Joensuu Jesse, Ässät A 13gms 7 + 8 = 15 +2 14min 62 shots 11,29 %

In junior A relegation series he has played (serie + playofffs) 6 games and made 1+6. So still over 1/game...
