France '98. Maybe you didn't see it.

It wasn't a dumb question. See, if the fans weren't booing, then it would be a dumb question. Since they were booing it's quite appropriate.

Oh I know exactly what you are talking about. And they had a great football team. If you want to talk diving and football, we can talk about Italy. But I believe this is a hockey forum so I think we would be the only ones interested... The other thing:
Is booing the Canadian anthem necessary?
Why dont you think about this sentence and maybe, just maybe you will understand why I wrote it was a dumb question :shakehead
Just a hint. Try concentrating on the word necessary...
Oh and congrats to the finals.

Come on get over it lol. It takes me alot more to hate someone. You are telling everyone you are hating him like if you would wake up at night to hate him more.
We dont even know if he really faked it. Its not like he jumped out of no-where to simulate a dive. He got hit hard before his whinning.

Ribeiro never played on the greatest hockey team ever.

He played for (arguably) the greatest hockey franchise.

I didn't remember Hanzel diving as much as bailing out of hits, which while soft and not impressive, is not nearly as embarassing.

Yeah, I find Hanzal to be quite an intreguing prospect (I even picked him up in a mock draft), but that boy needs to grow some balls. I remember watching the game in the second period and he laid a real solid hit on a Canadian player (I think it was Bertram) and I was thinking to myself, he looks like a physical force and likes to mix it up. But not more than 15 seconds after, Bertram was coming in for him and Hanzal hit the deck to move out of the way of the check. That's absolutely disgraceful considering Hanzal probably has at least 4 inches and 25 pounds on Bertram, but can't even take a hit from him. Hanzal has a nice package of size and skill, but he'll need an attitude adjustment if he wants to make the NHL.

draft eligiility you left paul kurceba off that list

:sarcasm: you left paul kurceba of the draft eligibility list

Czech fans have got to be the most annoying on Earth, but you can´t compare them to anybody. Good point :amazed:
Okay, I'll slow it down a bit for you. Czech fans are so annoying, there's no way fans in the other countries are worse. Even if they boo every offside, clean hit, icing, save, goal, player of the game, and anthem, like I've seen in the Czech Republic, it can't be any worse.

Clear things up a bit?

Czech fans are not equal in all cities, It´s known fans from Plzen are often stupid(even in Czech Extraleague) but for example Pardubice has great fans who understand the game.

Kruchejda was the worst of all of those divers, he looked like a ballerina out there

Kuchejda was the worst and I don´t understand why he does that. Otherwise he is feisty and gritty forward who plays very aggressive game. It´s not like he is soft as some Russians(Zubov). He plays very good tournament but his awful diving hurt his stock in eyes of many scouts.
Same for Kana, he is hardworking winger who can hit pretty hard. His behaviour was ridiculous. Frankly I don´t mind his play against Bertram(?) when he bent aside from his check, the game is also about being smarter not only stronger and faster however his diving was really bad. It was the first time I saw him doing that in contrast to Kuchejda.
I didn´t see Pospisil´s diving at all. He is a little bit softer but he is respectable player.
BTW he left the game earlier due to injury and won´t play against Sweden.

Where are you from? :innocent:

btw, did you ever saw the private message i sent to you a month ago?

Congrats to the Americans on winning the tournament. Yes, they have advantages over the rest of the field (having their best players available, playing together for the entire year), but that's the direction they chose to take. Would Canada have won the tournament with Staal, Crosby, Brule and Bourret in the line-up? Probably. Will Canada's group of 87-born players be better than the U.S.? More than likely. But the U.S. has chosen this direction for their program, it's yielded results with two gold and a silver the last four years, and they deserve credit for it. It's probably the only major international tournament where the Americans enter as perennial favourites.

PS: Get well soon to Colton Yellow Horn. Good news is he'll have the whole off-season to get better.
PPS: Upset of the tournament is probably the Swedes beating the Czechs. Is Sweden finally getting their hockey development act back together again?

Well that's what I mean. It seemed like the didn't really know what was going on (although I didn't believe that because it is the Czech Republic, after all).
