I think Boyle is a heart and soul guy that championship teams want on their roster, the other two are fairly replaceable parts.

I think you may be selling Stempniak and Elliott short here. Both had very long successful careers, better ones than Boyle IMO (higher peaks with nearly as good or better longevity).

Elliot at his peak was a legitimate starter in the league. Big fan of Boyle as well, he was the ideal bottom 6 C, Stempniak had a good peak as well. Elliot for me, a legit starting goalie is pretty hard to find, bottom 6 guys are a lot easier to acquire.
