Today was the first time that I thought Clowe looked good this year rather than poor or adequate. I hope he can keep it up.

Also Niemi is like a completely different goalie this year. A bunch of saves he made that game were types of goals he would let in last year, but now he makes even the hard ones look routine. I'm honestly shocked at how he's improved his overall game so much in one offseason.

Yes agree, Sheppard, Clowe and Gomez made a very good third line. I hope the Todd sticks with this. Kennedy looked really good along with Patty and Pav's. Joe and Couture = solid. Hope Hav's can get out of his funk. The fourth, Desi is good back there and Zus and Burish look as normal, useless. Hopefully one or both used in a trade or sent to sit or anything (as well Galiardi), especially when Wingels returns, but unfortunately one of those three aformentioned will have to play, unless help arrives.

Braun and Irwin over Demers really, If the Demers kid made the mistakes they have this year he would be in Worcester LOL

I'm thinkin there's gotta be more to this. Wrist not totally 100%? something along this line? I really like Demers and I think that he, in the long run will be the better D-man of these three. Braun & Irwin. I like them too though and I would not want to see any of them traded if it could be avoided. Worst case, let Murray walk at the end of his contract. Go with these three as 5,6,7.

also man does Bourque have some freekin wheels, WOW. Speed kills. We need a few with speed like this :yo:

Part of why Nemo looks better is that the defensive setup virtually eliminates cross-ice. That means less temptation to flop down. It lets him remain far more upright. There are other improvements in Nemo himself, but they are more incremental than dramatic. One improvement is that he will now pass backhand; he is still awful with the puck by frequently pushing it beyond his target.

I'm going with the injury thing too. Demers basically always has more ice time than Murray whenever Demers gets to play. So something is going on and it's hard to say what it is.
