He'd be even more pissed if the tables were turned and that call was made on Detroit. Kronwall blew an an edge, the little one handed swipe by Getzlaf had nothing to do with it.

Not sure if I gave my two cents, but I thought Franzen borderline interfered, and then from the normal broadcast angle, it looked like Getzlaf tripped or did something to Kronwall. But after looking at it from a different angle, I think it would have been a pretty weak call. He barely taps his hands, and that isn't the reason Kronwall goes down.

It's funny how Wings fans are saying, "That gets called, all day." Oh yeah? I swear I saw Kronwall, or another Detroit defender making the same play on a Ducks player just a few minutes earlier. I believe Hazy was calling it a hook, it wasn't, but I'm sure if they called a penalty on that play Detroit fans would be saying, "The refs are taking over the game."

I never did have faith in Etem living up to his hype, and its looking more and more like I was right. Kid just doesn't think the game at a high enough level.

On a more positive note, Kesler has far exceeded my expectations. Dude is killing it.

I would far rather Gibson stay stapled to the bench until the team defense gets more settled. There's no reason to lose games we should win and/or have the team playing nervously instead of working on their system. Or to shake Gibson's confidence.

One bad game, young goalie, top prospect, etc.

I get what you're saying but they're not giving up on his season after 1 game. It's going to take 10-20 of those games for them to ride Andersen like you seem to want them to.
