Perhaps, but he's still one of the best 12 or 13 forwards they can ice. If he's not back soon after the 4 nations l, it's still a mistake imo.

It would certainly improve our changes of achieving anything in the playoffs if we could win the division and avoid facing the Leafs or Panthers in round 1. Tall order but still doable. Can't afford any bad stretches though.

The shell only "works" when you have mottor bugs like Gourde running around at full speed on Defense. If the team is tired or slow then you get stuck in the mud and can't do anything.

A 5 game stretch isn't a big sample size. Despite his struggles, he's a better player than 4 or 5 they currently have. I'm happy that Goncalves is working well, as I actually thought je deserved a spot back in camp. Geekie won't be down long either most likely.

It's probably good for him to learn to be depended on for scoring.
