Geekie was playing his ass off but you could tell things were taking a toll on him. Not the time and place for him to work through it. Big fan of the kid but he was struggling, and couldn't produce at all alongside a dominant duo in Hagel / Cirelli.

And yet sending down someone with his raw talent in favor of giving Ace and Atkinson more ice time is a good idea? Yeah, I don't see it.

Plenty of people have raw talent, Geekie has been completely useless lately despite being gifted favorable linemates and opportunities. He still needs to learn a lot, he was no better for the past while than the players you mentioned.

Ther are some good free agents to be had from the college ranks, anyone is better than girgensons, Glandenning, Chaffee, and although Eysi skates hard, lets face it, he sucks too
