NBC said they've given up fewer scoring chances than either cup winning team.

And this is why.

Scoring chance data is the lowest since then.

Rosen confirmed Kings internal data says it's the best since as well.

Now imagine if Muzzin/Martinez weren't a thing or ironed out the brain farts. I do think it rivals 2012. Not close in nastiness/experience, but in mobility/puck movement its far superior, and in possession at least they smother the oppositions chances. But the d-zone coverage...Mitchell and Scuderi and Greene were unflappable. That's the biggest, clearest difference.

Yeah, I 'm not sure who's fault that one was on. Kopitar deciding to skate away the front leaving it wide open, or Muzzin not covering the front better instead of chasing the puck. That type of goal has been scored too many times this year.

Pretty sure it was Muzzins fault, the front of the net is usually the defenseman's job and he was defending no one. He got caught puck watching instead of looking at the open man.
