Little example of why Jones exasperated so mich..

So with less than 30bseconds remaining in1st period ..Jones gets puck in Hawks d-zobe..attemots a clear..fails...kept in..but cones right back to Jones who then tries 2nd clear but it goes all the way down for an icing.. Created a dangerous faceoff in Hawks d-zone with 20 seconds remaining ...because he does nitvcare forvtge proper details.. tge Gulbis not focused.. notca smart hockey pkayer..Simple clearing and no danger..periodcwoukdvhave ended without another Arizona chance..but no.. Jones fails to clear then compounds his missed detail by over-clearing for icing..tge guy has no Brinton pkay this game.

He is exasperating.. looks great 1 play o the Po..then comics copius errors.. break-away his fault and then tge clearing problems not handled well by him.

I cannot stand this type of flawed player.


And just to not single out Jones.. Bedard= anotger no show period.. invisible..not doing much of anything.. ineffective...notvdoubgbhisvjob...again..seems he has the golf course or more commercials on his mobd ratger than playing out these last games ofvtgecschedukevto sesdon's end..Sorenson needscto kick his bitt..ir just BENCH him if he keepscfailing to show and do something with the puck instead of just watching.

He literally did what you were supposed to do in that situation, put it down the boards. Rolling puck that was deflected down by Utah, luckily Soda made a great stop.

Jones did the right thing but hockey is stupid a lot of the time.

There is a skill to puck clearing ..goidvpkayers do it...why coachesxrelynon them..
Bad players fail to do it both often enough and fail in key situational times as per Jones showed ..though he is not the only 1 failing to clear atca rate high enough to find acceptable..

On the bouncing puck where Jonesvfaikrdctobtakeboutvhis check ,you do not try weak stick checking..you gotta take the rusher out with a physical body check or check into the boards. JONES FAILED to stop hos check there...break-away resulted.. becaisevhecrefusedctobuse his body to stop tgevgiy but only was trying a stick-check to recover the puck.. Details ...Jobescisctoo often wrong on the simple situational details of the game ..focus and details..finish your check...use the body..hevis not Duncan Keith ..he does not havexa "good stock" ...too many funbles and cannot recover with a stock check..get in the way..nope..he geysvleftvbehind..totally embarrassed.
