He gutted out that long shift and put in extra effort to get the puck out of the zone and fight a battle and then get the puck deep and took a giant shot to do it. Game was 1-0 and Krakheads were on the verge of tying it with about 2 minutes of o-zone time.

Good win overall. Coming g back from a long break has usually meant bad things initially for Tampa, and while there was some rust and sloppy play, overall they played well. Vasy is looking more and more like his old self and at least a Vezina finalist, if.not the winner. Defense was solid, but they still allowed a few too many shots (only really the 2nd period though). Offense broke through when needed. 2 points, 5 straight wins and points in 7 straight!

I noticed that too.

A few weeks back, he might’ve gotten hotheaded and gone after the guy who nailed him, getting the only penalty, but his previous benching after an undisciplined play was surely on his mind.
