But isn't that what some of us have been saying? We don't have the assets to win a bidding war.
Maybe another Jeannot trade?

No, most doom and gloomers on here say Tampa has no worthwhile assets and therefore can't acquire anyone helpful. Tampa has futures they can package, and the only players they likely can't win.a.bodding war for are the highest prizes such as Hanifin, maybe Tanev, etc. There are more than a few depth adds that still would be upgrades and provide needed depth that Tampa can acquire, and not in the same vein as the Jeannot trade(which, while it appears that it's not going to be a success story like many of his other trades, only included two valuable futures in reality). But isn't that what some of us have been saying? Don't worry, I'm sure he's preparing his next treatise on how if only the team had followed his plan(which he never gives any specifics on), they'd be the next 80's Islanders or Oilers by now....Just need Byrddog for the trifecta
