Would be a big mistake to trade him unless the return was phenomenal.
Wonder what his value is like compared to Namestnikov? Every Lightning fan realizes he's better than Vladdy but being carried by Stamkos and Kucherov earlier in the season could fool some GM's.

Ugh, we'll start nextperiod on the PK which means that we need to be on top from the start.

HORRIBLE ASS DEFENDING by Stralman and Sergachev. I'm going to laugh my ass off if Sergachev is on the 2nd pairing in the playoffs. Boston is going to embarrass him when they have last change. He's like a pylon right now against the Sabres. Just imagine Boston, Pittsburgh, etc tearing that pairing a new one. They look piss poor.

Forwards are nowhere to be found in the defensive zone either.

One of these days this team will wake up and figure out they need to shoot more instead of all the passing. Been an issue with them for quite a while. I would have hoped coaching would be the big factor in changing their approach, but alas, no such luck.

You usually don't trade cheap regulars if you're trying to win a cup. It would be like going sideways. Like Namestnikov or not but you don't get better value for the money he makes...not at the deadline.

Serge first half of the season: A-

Serge second half of the season: C

He's basically bringing Stralman down with him most shifts now, and Stralman typically isn't bad. I'd rather get a defenseman now, rather than deadline day/week, to get these pairings situated. This is a trainwreck on the backend. Coburn gets worse nearly every game. Put Koekkoek in next game.

Upon the return of Palat he’s expendable....so if he’s a key piece in a deal to improve the blue line I’d be ok with it.

We are not in position to babysit Serge this year. He needs to move down or sit in the press box if he's not gonna improve the team. If we are going for it this year, it's not time to babysit young players - it's time to put the best possible team out there to win the cup.

It's not gonna happen. I can only repeat myself. Trading regulars at the deadline is trading sideways especially players who are signed to team friendly contracts. Contenders usually don't do stuff like that.

Well the real trick is icing that lineup with Sergachev just further down the lineup.

I just want Yzerman to get someone good. If it's someone like Gudbranson for a 3rd rounder I'm gonna be pissed
