I know it’s Ottawa but there’s a lot to be encouraged about tonight.
The first line obviously was terrific. Mika and Panarin are going to be magic for a long time. The defense looked a lot better too this game than on opening night. The new pairs looked much more balanced and the coverage overall was much better. Georgie was good too.
I’d like to see DQ give Lias a shot at 2C. Strome just isn’t cutting it. He’s a fine bottom 6er but he’s an anchor in that slot. Lias has looked really good, it seems like a no brainer to move him up to that spot.

Fun game. Zibanejad is becoming the player we all thought he could. Georgiev showing why it's premature to assume Shesterkin is the goalie of the future.
