Playing Tinordi over Lundkvist was excess. In worked in that Wilson played a timid game. He has multiple chances to hurt a defenseless player but didn’t take it.

Lavi also kept him away from Reavo with the last change. We’ll see what happens when we meet them at the garden.

NYR starting Georgiev against Washington indicates to me that they wanted to put most of their money on this game. Let's just hope we see Nils tonight and kill more than 50% of our penalties.

I'm not sure I'd trust Miller with tougher/increased minutes. I'm not against changing up the D pairings though.

I just don’t think they’ll ever send KAM down. The hope is he’ll find that gear from the first half of last season

OK...first game and the side show is in the rear view mirror and now they can focus on a real roster for this game and work on some things . Gallant is not a miracle worker . He won't change things overnight by any mean nor will addind 4-5 guys . We need some passengers to get on board and play some uptempo shifts . Kreider looked like Kreider last night . Hopefully Gallant gets him moving tonight . Miller is big guy but that is about it so far . Get Shesty in and Nils and fire the damn puck at the net and head for some rebounds . 4-3 loss in a SO .

playing shesty back to back game 1 and 2 isnt a problem at all. they worried he would be "tired" ? at the start of the season !!! dumb

hes your #1 so play him. these guys are biting at the bit to play and start the season and he sits our true - by a long shot- #1 goalie. then he deflects to allaire ? weak.

i get the whole toughness thing but we had a number of scrubs out there including the 3rd paid D and it showed. team showed nothing after the first 20 mins. mika and bread were literally invisible.

you subtract ADA and his ability to create and dont play nils you are making a mistake.

still saying, as ive said all along, the defensive part of this defense is a joke. miller still showing nothing. trouba cannot play the pp and top pair matchup minutes. and fox cant do it all alone.

No expectations here. This game lives and dies with Igor if last night’s performance is any indicator. I can only hope that the embarrassment of last night and the rush of playing at home outweigh the fatigue of a back to back.

Funny to think that we went from clearly winning the Stepan trade to having gotten nothing out of it.

Makes no sense to start shesterkin in a game vs a western team when we could have tried to get 2 points off a divisional rival. Its apparently Allaire's choice so i dont know what to say about that. Having said that Georgiev was on the bad end of some terrible bounces, deflection, puck off the chest drops to Ovie, etc.

Nils better be in tonight. Miller's time is ticking. At the very least move him to the third pair and shelter him if they want him up in the NHL instead of the AHL.
