Lindgren is one of my favorite Rangers and I am still amused that some were not originally excited when we traded for him. Again, I hate to keep referencing @Edge, but he and I were on that train early.

I expected a good #4/5 who is good defensively with untapped offensive potential. And I expected that to materialize around age 24. And it still brings a smile to my face that Marchand was completely wrong about him. He’s possibly a top pairing defenseman already. I mean, BEST case scenario I thought he would be a solid top 4 guy.

I will say that I saw him as a super steady 3/4 at his top end and I think he has even surpassed my highest expectations. I don't think he's a true top pairing guy, but I see him as a 2/3 kind of guy who can be a super high end 2nd pairing guy or an average-ish top pairing guy.

It’s just natural development of strength. I saw a guy last year who needed to be able to battle and win 50-50 pucks like he did in juniors. He’s not a skill guy. He just wasn’t able to last year

He's extremely skilled.

I feel like in a heavy game or in the playoffs he might not factor into things all that much but we'll see

Was just going to say, this board has just crushed him for 2 years, but he really looks like he's applied himself and his lower body is getting stronger. The guy's never going to be a top six forward, but he can definitely slide into a third line roll at some point if he can keep progressing.

Also Miller just never seems to show any emotion, he's very stoic. It's going to be really interesting when he eventually gets his first goal to see if he actually smiles
