Just like Wright has stalker trolls in Seattle and Wright seems to be surpassing him this season. He sure has stalker trolls in Montreal. Insane.

Mitchkov tampered with the draft by hyping up is allegedly iron clad KHL contract. If I was MTL fan id be choked. They should have drafted Mitchkov and forced him to pull a Lindros so he could play for his good friend John Torterrela. You seems hurt they didn’t like Michkov enough. Maybe some therapy is needed to help get over it.
They liked Demidov, wanted him and then got to draft him.
7.5m is not superstar money, by the way.
Oh he already did.As was the case with Laf, he’ll find his way.
Yeah. i am not saying Slaf is a bust. And even if he doesn't live up , that contract won't be a big problem.Way too early to say that..
Wright played 8 games last season while Slafkovsky had a 50 point campaign..
Also, he's only 2 points ahead with plenty of games left.
Kudos to Wright obviously for progressing and it is disappointing to see Slafkovsky not improve on last season. But it once again shows development isn't linear.
Jack Hughes passed the eye test, no one would finish his plays, he developed his shot in year 3. Slaf looks like a bum! They just showed some stats that at this point he's pretty much at the same point total as Jack Hughes, so I guess we'll know next season if he can take off, or if it's still "well, let's hope he can get 20 goals a year"
I know he wasn't 1st overall, but an example is a guy like Adrian Kempe that took 6 years from draft until he broke out.
So many fans try to compare players based on Jack's early start. Forget points. Jack showed elite talent from the start. Elite zone entries and exits. They just showed some stats that at this point he's pretty much at the same point total as Jack Hughes, so I guess we'll know next season if he can take off, or if it's still "well, let's hope he can get 20 goals a year"

It's nice to see fans of other teams point out he's only 20 , he's up and down but has shown flashes , people on the habs board are losing their minds.
It's rare that the main boards are defending the guy more than the teams board haha
There was no consensus.Yeah. i am not saying Slaf is a bust. And even if he doesn't live up , that contract won't be a big problem.
It is always a big risk to go off the board. It's just less controversial to go with the consensus and this avoids all the revisionist history that will be thrown the teams way for decades if the pick misses. Especially for a Canadian team.
If you pick the consensus #1 and miss , it's just bad luck. It is not the same if you go off the board
According to the hype o meter , Wright was the top pick. Remember blight for Wright , pain for Shane and all that. There was no consensus.
Slaf had 5, Wright 4 and cooley 1 vote on bobs final list. Scouts were as divided
What's wrong with Larkin? you know only 1 team wins every year and DET has been rebuilding for an extended period of time, I would say that Larkin is successfulPPG stat does not make one successful, look at Dylan Larkin
Tage out of no where grew like 2 feet and had to relearn basically everything starting from Skating, I don't think that's a good comparableBig guys like Slav sometimes take a few years before they figure it out. Like Tage Thompson. It might take him a few years longer than other draft picks but it's probably worth waiting considering his upside.
Shane Wright started to lose hype very early in his draft season. Like, before the season started. There was no consensus at all by January.According to the hype o meter , Wright was the top pick. Remember blight for Wright , pain for Shane and all that.
Slaf is what he is, he's a big young power forward who will likely be a 50-80 point player eventually.Definitely not writing him off yet, but anyone saying he hasn’t been disappointing is lying
no one is bashing him, he just is what he is and so far it's nothing overly special. and he's signed long termBash him now while you can. He'll be worth his contract in a couple years from now.
I’d be happy with this. Problem is, he’s not a power forward. He plays like he’s the size of Cole CaufieldSlaf is what he is, he's a big young power forward who will likely be a 50-80 point player eventually.
I love Ivan Demidovalso what happened to ur pfp? barely even tell its you anymore lol
I dont watch many Habs games, looking at his stats and his hitting I thought he was a little more aggressive than he is, on the bright side he's still very youngI’d be happy with this. Problem is, he’s not a power forward. He plays like he’s the size of Cole Caufield
I love Ivan Demidov
In a redraft Cooley probably goes #1.Cooley might be better than both
Everybody was shocked when MTL made the pick. No one expected Wright to fall to 4th. That said, maybe the sign that it's a weak draft when there is no consensus top 3.There was no consensus.
Slaf had 5, Wright 4 and cooley 1 vote on bobs final list. Scouts were as divided
Oh he already did.
Just like Lafrenière, Slafkovsky found his way to the NHL without being ready for it. It's the "Gorton rushed special".
Then a few years later, just like Laf, he got a fat contract while sucking balls.
